Good question. I'm hoping my last read will be Killing Floor to finish off my a section of my chunkster challenge. Here's to hoping.
This question is too hard, I don't know what I'm going to finish this year with. I'm thinking maybe The War That Ended Peace: The Road To 1914 or Us Conductors but it could be something completely different.

They had a display at the library tonight that showed the differences between 1914 and 2014 in pictures and statistics. It was interesting. $650.00 for a car.
I think I will use the last days of the year to catch up on some Netgalley reads. It will most likely be The Orphan Sky or Saltwater Cowboys
Good question Janice! I suspect it will be my current read (and chunkster) Swan Song - I have about 200 pages left to the end. I'd like to read another book if I get chance to fit one in though. I had been planning on reading The Daylight War as it would have been a nice treat but as it's a series book I'm holding off to score an extra 5 points ;-) I might go for something short and easy, perhaps Stardust, if I can squeeze another one in.
I think mine will probably be My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories which I am planning on reading over Christmas. Depending on how quickly I get through it, I might be able to squeeze another book in but I have no idea what it will be yet.
I expect it to be The Blade Itself., ending the year with a chunkster that is a 1st in a series. A good transition...

Just one more series for me to start. I had it on my TBR but did not shelve as a series.
Good question... but I have no idea! I just know that I'm planning to read several books before then, especially because I have a looong flight home. ^^;;

I don't even know what I'll be reading tomorrow. I suppose my last book will be the result of my usual eenie meenie selecting
Well, it looks like I didn't finish either of the books I said I would. My last book of the year is The Coffee Trader instead.

Wil Wheaton does a fantastic job narrating - I wouldn't have liked it nearly as much without him! It would be worth delaying to get hold of the audiobook.
I'm listening to Shadow of Night, but am only on disc 7 of 20, no possible way to finish by midnight.Around 3 am I finished Death on a Platter, so that's my last book for the year. It'll get me a little closer to finishing a challenge in another group.
I was wrong about my last read. I finished Killing Floor and had time to sneak in a short one. The Sense of an Ending. Just 150 pages.
My last read was The Devil's Star. I had thought it would be my original pick for the monthly challenge, Infinity in the Palm of Her Hand: A Novel of Adam and Eve, but I swapped it out for another book.
I was also wrong about my last read. I predicted that I would finish with My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories but I got through it far quicker than I expected so I was able to squeeze in two more books, both of which were less than 160 pages. The last of those was The Orange Girl which was a very nice little book. I gave it 4 stars.

I did listen to Wil Wheaton. I agree that his narration made all of the difference. As a Table Top Gamer, he could put enthusiasm in describing every game invented since the Pong Cocktail Table!☻
I am reading The Yiddish Policemen's Union and was over the new year. But my last finished book was Gone Girl

What do you think will be your last read in 2014?
For me, it could be Infinity in the Palm of Her Hand: A Novel of Adam and Eve, as I scramble to get my challenge book read.
