Matthew 1:1-18. Just hysterical.
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I love the story so much that I collect different versions of the book.
Each year I find a Christmas story I haven't yet read. A Child's Christmas in Wales and The Cricket on the Hearth were each wonderful this year! How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Tailor of Gloucester, A Christmas Carol, and The Night Before Christmas are perennial favorites still.
Mine is a little-known (cuz it's new) book called "Santa's Sister" (by someone named Marian Rudnyk). The story blew me away. It really captured the essence of the Holiday - was both old-fashioned and contemporary. The story is quite vast - epic-like - which is unlike 99% of Xmas books - yet it still felt very intimate... made me wanna put on my fuzzy slippers & curl up with a big cup of hot cocoa... I stumbled upon it & read it on a whim - glad I did. Suddenly I've gained a fascination for Antarctica (hahaha)... very sweet book. Anyways, still adore the classics, but am currently in-love with "Santa's Sister" - if that makes any sense ;0) Anyone else check it out too?
