Chris#18 – Looks like it does carry on into the next book. I didn’t know that the Duke gets matched up with St. John’s sister, until Lisa posted it.
#20 – Yes, he and Lara could have had their own book, and I would have been happy. Still, I did like a secondary love story. Yeah, his concerns were valid.
Lisa (Aussie Girl’s) Discussion Questions & Lisa Kay’s Answers for 16 – End
17. Oh No! The gig is up! Isabel knows the truth about Nick's ulterior motives. Should Nick have come clean sooner or do you agree he was right in keeping his motives to himself, hoping he could have sorted out Georgiana before Isabel found out the truth?
Well, I was firmly of the belief that Nick should have told her, especially after Rock pointed it out. Then Silvia made me waffle. But, now I’m back to him being up-front earlier. LOL!
18. From what we have previously read about the Duke of Leighton he is an arrogant and proud man caring only about his family name and place in society. Does his actions at Townsend Park only confirm this statement and what are your thoughts on him being a probable hero?
Well, he did really act like the cretin Isabel called him. Poor Georgiana! Cruel. He’s got a long row to hoe to turn me around. Alas, his being paired up with St. John’s illegitimate sister intrigues me, I must say.
19. Nick and Isabel are married but under less than ideal circumstances. There seems to be a lot of misunderstandings and hurt feelings. Does this work for you or do you think that Sarah MacLean could have handled the journey to their HEA in a different way?
I worked for me. It was essential, after all was said and done, that Isabel go to him.
20. Rock and Lara get a HEA! YAY! Even though they are married to you see any problems for them living in England at this time?
I’ll go with Silvia on this one. Their close friends won’t mind. As long as they don’t have big aspirations of being in society, they should be happy.
21. Final thoughts on the story's resolution and epilogue. How did you enjoy it in comparison with the first book in the series?
I really enjoyed it, but not as much as the first one. That one I gobbled up. So, I’m having a bit of trouble rating it… maybe four stars.
Lisa Kay - Re: #21 Now I'm going to have to read the first book, sooner rather than later because I really loved this book! ; )
Yeah, Silvia, this one was really good. I think I gave five full stars to the first one, so I'm debating between 4½ and 5 for this one. You'll have to keep us posted on what you think of book #1.
Lisa Kay wrote: "Best to read it next month; when March comes I'm going to be swamped with moving stuff."Are you taking the mice with you?
**chuckles** Yes, probably. I know I'm really weird, but it wasn't a very pleasant experience. Especially when the little babies came out because their parents were dead...and then they died of exposure to the elements.
Sorry, Chris. Pretty traumatic for me. Sorry about your daughter and the spiders, too. Spiders are good for the environment... at least regular sized, non-poisonous one. ☺
Oh yes. We have to finish the series together. When suits everyone. Are you finally moving Lisa Kay? I remember you talking about downsizing a while ago. Have you taken the plunge?
PS. And in the follow up series, Georgiana gets an HEA. Sorry I peeked.
Yes, I'm finally taking more serious steps toward taking the plunge. I have someone coming to empty out the attic and a moving van tentatively scheduled. Still not sure where I'm moving, but I figure I can always rent and see if I like a place first.
What is a good date for everyone? It might be a bit tight for me, as I've started packing, but I'll give it a whirl.
Hi ladies, sorry I missed this Buddy Read. My phone broke and as I read mostly from it, no reading or Internet for me these last few days :(I'm good now, though. I hope everyone have fun read this one :)

#2 – He is a bit of a “Jack of All Trades.”
#3 – That definite would have been too much of a downer for the story-line.
