Catherine | 476 comments I know, which is annoying because I liked the Host better. It's been really bugging me because I thought at first that the Host was the only book and I wasn't very happy with the ending, but now I know there's more, I'm still having to wait to find out how it all winds up.

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments I think Host is better than twilight

Kat (acharb11ymailcom) | 70 comments To anyone who has read Hunger Games and the Host: this may seem weird but I've found that Gale and Jared are the same, just as Ian and Peeta are the same. Weird eh?

message 54: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments What are the Hunger Games about?

The Hunger Games (which by the way is amazing and you should run to your nearest Chapsters and buy a copy right now and read it from cover to cover in one sitting...cause its JUST AMAZING!!!!!) is an amazing story that takes places in the future and has adventure, survival and romance. In short its about the reality TV of the future where adolescents are basically selected from different sectors (sectors are the new cities...sector 1, sector 2---theres a whole corrupt government thing going on) and are dorpped into an "arena" (which could be in the middle of a jungle, or forest, etc) and basically the last one standing wins...so yeah they have to kill each other. But its hard to describe this story...really just READ IT!!!!! and then go read part 2: Catching Fire.

LOL...its true right? You see I'm the opposite of you..I'm more drawn to the Gale/Jared type. :)

Okay because I have heard about that book alot and haven't been able to read it. But now i will read it. I thought it was a kids book. I am more into the Ian type and a little of Jared.

Definitely NOT kids book...

message 59: by Kat (new)

Kat (acharb11ymailcom) | 70 comments I really find that the feelings that Katniss has for Gale are so similar to the the way Wanda feels about Jared.....and the same between Peeta and Ian....the more I think about this...the more conmnections I find...very very weird.

But if I compare Ian and Jared to guys from other books...like Twilight...I find Jared is more like Edward and Ian is more like Jacob....hmmmm

message 60: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments I think that Jared is more like Jacob

message 61: by Kat (new)

Kat (acharb11ymailcom) | 70 comments Really? I dunno...I group all the desperate whiny boys together: Ian, Peeta, Jacob.....LOL

message 62: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments Wait, who do you perfer? Jared or Ian?

message 63: by Kat (new)

Kat (acharb11ymailcom) | 70 comments Jared

message 64: by Kat (new)

Kat (acharb11ymailcom) | 70 comments but I do have a soft spot for Ian

message 65: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments Ok. me too i love Ian more but there are things that I like about Jared too.

message 66: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments lol

message 67: by Kat (new)

Kat (acharb11ymailcom) | 70 comments Finished the Host last night....and I'm itching for more...I really REALLY hope she actually writes a sequel.

message 68: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments she is going to write 2 more

message 69: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments me either!!!!!!!

message 70: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 476 comments I wonder if the next two books will carry on with Wanda's story or if it's going to be based on someone else. Anyone know?

message 71: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments I think it is goimg to be about wanda

message 72: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 476 comments That's cool. Although I have to say, I'm not really used to reading about her being in that other body, it's quite hard after imagining her as Melanie for practically the whole book.

message 73: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments I get what you mean but now wanda would have a mind of her own

message 74: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 476 comments Yeah, I guess it's good that both couples can have proper relationships with each other as well now. It was quite annoying in the Host that whenever they start getting close, they have to stop because either Wanda or Melanie would pop back in and disrupt things!

message 75: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments Yeah, i get how you feel but it would also be interesting if the book would be the point of view of another

message 76: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 476 comments I suppose Wanda/Melanie's story is kinda over, I'm not really sure what else Steph could write about them. But didn't they meet that other group who had a soul who'd join them? It would be interesting to see how that came about.

message 77: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments You mean the guy?

message 78: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 476 comments Yeah

message 79: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments That would be cool, if he finds his true love

message 80: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments What if The Other soul guy starts to court wanda?

message 81: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 476 comments God, I hope not. I think Wanda and Ian have been through enough! They deserve some happiness.

message 82: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments Lol, your right.

message 83: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments There's going to be a movie over the Host??????

message 84: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 476 comments They've announced that they're going to make one, but so far they haven't done anything like casting characters etc

message 85: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments Oh, ok:(

message 86: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) oh my gosh, that's so annoying how movies keep using book plots to make their movies -_-.

message 87: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments I know, it gets frustrating

message 88: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) yeah lol. cause i always find the book is more enjoyable than the movie.

message 89: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 476 comments They've been doing that for a long time, but it seems that ever since Twilight, they've been doing it much more. It's just cause they know a lot of the fans of the book will go and see it.

message 90: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) Yeah, that's true eh. After Twilight it seems there's much more movies based on books. Hmm, I guess. Still they almost always seem to ruin the book in a way by doing this, in my opinion.

message 91: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (wickedreader) | 71 comments I hate when they ruin a book like that. Like blood chocolate and did you hear that Beastly is being made into a movie

message 92: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) what's Beastly? No, I didn't hear that. ):

message 93: by Catherine (last edited Dec 06, 2009 02:02AM) (new)

Catherine | 476 comments I don't know what Beastly is either! But aren't they making the Mortal Instruments books into films?

message 94: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) I haven't a clue. Are the Mortal Instruments series the ones that are called City Of Ashes, City of Bones, etc.? Or is that a completely different series lol?

message 95: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 476 comments Yeah, that's the series. It's pretty good, so if you haven't read it, then do it! :)

message 96: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) Ahh, I thought so. I haven't read them yet, but I really want to! I just need to find the time to fit them into my busy reading schedule :P

message 97: by Andrez (new)

Andrez (andrez-ssi) I thought the host was better than twilight

message 98: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 476 comments I've finally got round to re-reading it, since the last time I read it was a few years ago. I like it better than Twilight too and I'm still team Jared!

message 99: by Andrez (new)

Andrez (andrez-ssi) *sigh* GO IAN GO IAAAAAAAAAAAN

message 100: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 476 comments Cheer all you like, but it's still Jared for me!

Although physically, I do find Ian better looking with his dark hair and blue eyes!
