A nurse comes in to help Sam with breast feeding as Sam had never done it before

The baby suckles quietly and after awhile she falls asleep
Sam smiles as she cradles a sleeping Amelia
After a little bit, Sam falls asleep herself. by this time it's almost 4 AM
((yeah :) ))Sam is in the bathroom with Amelia, helping the four year old brush her teeth.
Amelia sits on her mommy's lap, brushing her teeth. her hair is a mop of bouncy red ringlets and her eyes are green as emeralds. she is like a mini sam. she is wearing her hello kitty jammies, which are her favorite
thankfully Amelia is already skipping happily to her room, followed by the newest editing, Jax, a English setter puppySam frowns "I'm going to call your doctor. This isn't normal." she says as she wheels herself to where haylee is. Sam holds a roll of toilet paper for haylee to use
((nosebleeds suck ass and can burn in the deepest pit of hell. that is all. lol))
"no haylee. you're not fine. This isn't normal. and its killing me to see you like this" Sam says as she rubs haylee's back.((so what kind of cancer does she have? leukemia? lymphoma? sarcoma? lol there's a lot of them))
Sam frowns "do you want me to call for help?" she asks in a serious tone.
Sam calls for Amelia as she didn't want to leave haylee alone.Amelia stays just outside the bathroom door. "mommy what's wrong?" she asks in a scared tone
"sweet heart I need you to go find me a phone ok? Can you do that?" Sam asks.
Amelia nods and runs towards the living room to find the phone. After a moment she brings back the house phone.
Amelia goes back to her room and after awhile, Sam comes in after the ambulance takes haylee to the hospital. "sweet heart can you pack a bag to go to grandma's?"
"please sweet heart? I promise I'll come pick you up first thing in the morning. I'll even let you skip school to come see mommy." Sam says as she pulls the tiny four year old into her lap
"double promise with extra sprinkles on top" Sam says as she tickles Amelia's tummy
"hey mom it's Sam. could you take Amelia for me tonight? haylee is on the ambulance heading to the hospital and I really don't want Amelia to see all that" Sam explains everything quickly
"alright ill be over in a few" Sam says then she goes to get Amelia bundled up
Sam is sitting by her bed, texting her mom to see if Amelia had gone to sleep when she sees haylee waking up "hey sleepy head. how are you feeling?" she asks softly
Sam holds haylee's hand but she can't help it to think of what an ass the doctor had been about offering an explanation or any treatment plans
((lol I was just kind of like "um.....k then."))Sam glances at haylee then she looks at the nurse "could you come back a little later?" she asks gently, still holding haylee's hand
"you already cheated death once. I think it came back for a rematch. and I think you can show him who's boss around here" Sam says, feeling like she's giving a pep talk but it's true, cancer had met it's match
"Why don't we worry about that later. And by the way I kind of promised Amelia that she could skip school tomorrow. It was the only way I could get her to go to mom's." Sam says.Suddenly bugz jumps up on the bed, realizing that haylee had woken up
"he's trying to make you feel better." she says with a smile "and mom said she's sound asleep now. They watched cars and she didn't last a half hour"
"well I'll tell you what I think....I think cancer has met it's match. you're strong hails." Sam says with a smile
"you should get some rest. I'm sure Amelia will wear you out tomorrow" Sam says, thought it's actually she who is tired
Sam goes to the other bed and she gets herself situated
Sam stays awake for awhile, wishing she could take away haylee's pain
When haylee wakes up the next morning, Sam had already gone to get Amelia
The nurse comes in with some pain meds. "doc wanted to start you on the chemo today if you've made your decision. " she says as she injects the meds into haylee's IV drip
"Alright I'll let the doctor know and he'll be in probably this afternoon. " the nurse says as she finishes upSam wheel her chair through the hallway of the hospital. "excited to see mommy?" she asks Amelia who is next to her, petting bugz
"now mommy is a bit tired ok? so if she's sleeping when we get there we can go talk a walk while she's sleeps, ok?" Sam says, wanting haylee to rest as much as possible, knowing the chemo would take a lot out of her
"maybe." Sam says but she just wants to let haylee sleep
"hi mommy." Amelia says and she goes to get up on the bed
"I'm ok. mama let me skip school today so I could help make you better" she says excitedly
Amelia smiles "sure do! I even brought my bunny to keep you company" Amelia says as she takes her stuffed animal bunny and she gives it to haylee((sure))
Sam nods and looks up at the doctor "can...we have a few minutes alone? " Sam asks softly
"it's time to say goodbye Amelia" Sam says softly. she had explained the whole death and dying thing to Amelia, who learned about it way younger than a kid should, but Sam knows haylee wouldn't make it through the night and it's time to say goodbye
Sam holds haylee's handsAmelia hugs haylee and she starts crying into her hospital bed "please don't go mommy. please..."
"mommy..." Amelia says, hoping she is still alive but then Amelia crawls back to Sam and Sam hugs her close
Sam had been half asleep, just waiting for the monitor to flat line when she hears haylee. "haylee?? oh my god you're awake..." Sam says softly as Amelia is asleep in the other bed, exhausted from crying
"she's asleep." Sam says softly as she holds haylee's hand gently
Sam smilesAmelia wakes up to the noise. she rubs her eyes sleepily
"Amelia...mommy woke up sweet heart. it's not time for goodbye quite yet" she says with a smile
"you should try to get some sleep and save your strength. " Sam says softly to haylee.Amelia climbs over in bed with Haylee, a bit disoriented she just wants to be held
Sam smiles and a couple hours later she falls asleep in her chair
Sam is out taking Amelia to school and running some errands as they would be back at home soon
After another couple weeks, Sam has brought haylee home. Amelia is now 5, nearly 6
Sam smiles "hey what about me? she teases. haylee is in a wheelchair of her own for the time being while she regains her strength. Amelia works hard to push it with the help of bugz
Amelia smiles "I'm just trying to help mommy!"Sam laughs "come sit on mama's lap" she says to Amelia who does so
"now remember. doctors said r and r for the next two weeks. "
