The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay
First book finished this year. Read it over the weekend. I'll give it a 3/5, I didn't particularly enjoy the book but once I started I was invested in finishing it.
Not something I'd read again, but the story will definitely stay with me a while. It was well written and it did keep me reading as I went along. I wasn't bored or tempted to DNR it, though there were parts that were hard to get through. I didn't particularly find the ending... fulfilling, but I'm not sure any other ending would've fit at that point.
I'll definitely check out other books by Paul Tremblay, as I did like the writing.. the story just threw me for a loop. Reading this in the middle of the night when you can't sleep definitely doesn't help you to go to sleep.

I'm currently living in North Carolina and love to read though I don't do it as much anymore as when I was younger. I want to try to get back into my reading habit as I really do love it.
I enjoy all different genres and randomly will choose books based on the cover art, a synopsis, or recommendation.
