The girl, I did vaguely remember her from some meeting at Rockelle and Kyraa's apartment, extended her hand.
"Nice to meet you."
She said.
We shook.
"Likewise."
Her dark brown eyes darted each direction, then she stepped closer to me.
"So you're a wizard? Like her?"
She asked, nodding at Kyraa.
I looked over at my goddaughter, who had conveniently just started walking away.
"Kyraa Natalie Vikram."
She glared over her shoulder at me.
"You can't middle-name me. You aren't my mother. And relax. She's cool."
I glowered at her a second, then looked back down at Ginger.
"No. I'm her teacher. I'm a better wizard than her."
Ginger's eyes lit up.
"Mind if I ask you a question?"
"Not in the slightest."
She took a deep breath.
"Can I see your wand?"
Then the both of them started cackling like the witches in Hamlet.
"Really mature. I called over my shoulder, walking away in search of Rockelle.
