I got to say that to my mom this morning about an author named Poppy Z. Brite, who once identified female but has since undergone re-assignment and had his name legally changed to Billy Martin.
Kay, if I finish that other commission tonight, then I can work on the new Kyraa pic.I tried to do a Manga thing with her in the first one I put on DA, but, itttt didn't work out as well as i'd hoped. The Sheila one was SO much better.
So now i'mma try and do Kyraa in my 'normal' style; that two-dimensional, cartoony way I do Sheila and everything else.
I'm still keeping her name off of DA, the Dresden Files has WAY too many crazy fans to put it all out there that I have an OC baring a STRIKING resemblance to another character, and that she's 'more or less a carbon-copy' of Harry's later apprentice, Molly (she's not; I put Kyraa in her own arc between books two and seven, that shit was HARD work).
I built a whole world and story around Kyraa, and I WILL NOT sacrifice it to the vultures on there.
Damn it, when can I get away from Homer and Marge long enough to get an Amazon card so I can get that book for Marge?

We're doing something with a family friend and his band tonight (i'm actually pretty psyched tbh) and I 'can't look like I got arrested at a Foo Fighters concert' (and no nose ring allowed- bullshit!) so I gotta scrub the grease outta my hair and wash some clothes, but i'll be on for a while this afternoon to post the new one-shot and other shit.
Couple weeks ago I took my mom's advice and packed all my clothes (says 'all' like it's a wardrobe, it all fit in one bin. Plus a duffle bag and a backpack were inside), but then our move got fucking DELAYED, so I've been wearing the same four shirts ShineDown/Avenged Sevenfold/Dallas Stars/Bob Marley and same three pairs of pants
