I've been posting a new character art series to instagram about my -NEW- Marvel OC/Spidersona, Lainey. She was created to be a Spidersona but she has been added to the Marvel OC roster, making her my first new OC since 2016 ^-^
I'm already super proud of her. She's a blonde like Gwen, Todd and me ('cause I consider myself my own OC) and she's a not-straight jock; she's a star defenseman for her high school hockey team, she's a hardcore runner, and an absolute KLUTZ. I like the bumbling/clumsy/bad at being alive characters the best because I relate, but they're almost always male. No disrespect, but the trait needed female rep.EDIT-
also she's a Russian immigrant whose backstory includes a mob murder and witness protection.

Anyway. The book for the book pubbed this year part of my challenger is *none other* than Exile from Eden: Or, After the Hole. Grasshopper Jungle is one my absolute faves, I cannot freaking believe he wrote a sequel.

^^ i know i'm being a dumbass, that's the point. My biggest roadblock in art is absolutely the fact that my fast-paced brain can't slow down long enough to learn the basics. Four years ago, i jumped straight to cartooning. And it shows in my work.
I can't move slowly or sit still. I have been this way my entire life. The emergence of anxiety and the added bonus of being dyslexic made an unorthodox schooling LOADS of fun.
Lowkey I want to made a comic/video about that exact struggle. How people view me vs. how i really am plays into it too. Most people assume I'm low-energy but i'm the opposite.
There's a reason i'm so drawn to animation: i basically am a cartoon character. I can bounce around the room doing five different impressions without the influence of cocaine.
