Work this weekend but i have the manager I like so that's cool.
We installed ID/driver's license scanning guns yesterday which wound up being a clusterfuck because two out of four registers got locked up and quit on us.Overall it worked out though. We can never be held responsible for underage alcohol or tobacco since we can't sell it without a card anymore.
One mean old broad did yell at me for asking her for an ID to buy cigarettes but if anyone gets belligerent I've been instructed to tell them how it is until they get the message.Cool.
I wanna draw a little comic featuring my persona about being an internet artist vs. being a gAy Internet artist and where i feel like i fit in it all (y'all know me. I am not gona make fun of anyone. Anyway! I found out i can make the walk to/from work in roughly twenty minutes when i walked home on sunday, which is great because due to the schedule hell of a part-time shift job, i work from four to eight PM tomorrow! :D Meaning i get to walk in mid-day traffic! and work for four measly hours earning almost no money!But whatever. I took a shift for one of my coworkers on sunday, and it was NINE hours, so I kicked my hours for this week from seventeen to twenty-six.
Also been working with K, she's actually great! She's really sweet once you know her.
She's from West Virginia and I'm from Texas so together we're like the Drawl Twins (except I'm a foot taller than her and beyond being short she's just a tiny human in general).
I also made a note to get my phone number to A because, even if he doesn't like me, he is like really reliable when it comes to getting the schedule out to all of us. I won't always work Fridays.
Of course if i asked my manager T to to just text it to me she'd do it in a heartbeat.And then we'd trade numbers. Hm.
Well i did a drawing and a half. I'll finish my based out one later and hopefully post three when i get home from work. Gonna try to finish a book after i clean my room.
I've been writing in RFB for almost a year and it only just now has fifty views. Exactly what i wanted.
Went to the store and got my check, went to the library to pay my fine (and *cough* check out two books *cough*) so as soon as i've done the dishes i'm reading until study hours, seven-ish, when i'll review things.

I'm three checks into the job. I have some of what i need for EMT school.
My only class options are 8-11 AM or 12-3 PM. The earlier one is gonna be better for work but SHIT that means getting up a fuck of a lot earlier than i like to.
I did finally admit to myself college is gonna have to wait. I absolutely hate it and i hate that i didn't pull the miracle i really thought i could pull but i just can't. It's not there for me. The money, the place. It's just not.
I had four years to take it seriously and i guess i never really did.
Everyone keeps telling me to have a good summer but i don't see how that's possible. I know I'm still gonna be here in August. And i know who won't be.
What's bugging me is i have to work with two people who get to go to college with all their friends and get people asking them about college and dorms and football and crap over my shoulder all day. And it's not their fault, they know I don't have my diploma yet and they don't make me feel bad about it. They worked their asses off and have every right to be excited about college. I shouldn't be so bitter. This is nobody's fault, not even mine. The expenses stacked up and it just can't be done.
Seems like I'm always hungry when I'm at home and that I eat WAY too much, yet low and behold, I've lost three pounds since i started working at the store.
My theory is that it's because i really don't eat much at work coupled with the fact it's a lot of standing and walking. We pass snacks around on the front end sometimes, but honestly the smell from the hot case (chicken, ribs, that stuff) kills my appetite. I had a lunch break last week when i worked nine hours and i still only ate a few cookies the whole time i was there.

Working at nine thirty in the morning is absolute bullshit. I am so tired but i had a pretty good day at work. Worked with the people i like best.
I have two ladies at work i see regularly who want to trim my hair and style it and ahhhhh get away from my hair, please.

Can't believe Incredibles 2 is finally here. I still wish they had shot it into the future like the original plan for the sequel instead of just picking up where 1 left off, but, i'm definitely excited.
I'mma try to read The Shape Of Water before starting The End Days IDC buddy read with Elizabeth on Sunday. I'll read The Hazel Wood after.

I said 'absconded' yesterday and Angie snorted right into her intercom.
And then today our boss was trying to answer her com-call in the booth office and she accidentally answered on the intercom. Dunno why it was so funny but all three of us kinda died.
I really like my manager C (i have three, my fourth boss is the store director). Even though I'm WAY below her, whenever she changes out for me or answers a service call for me and i say thank you, she always says "yes, ma'am." I know it's just the South being the South, but still. I feel like she respects me.
A joke I actually made out loud at work: "I'm straight for Matthew McConaughey and I don't care who knows it."
Context: Angie was trying to say I was the Molly Ringwald of the group and I said "Can't I just be Wooderson?" and then had to explain who he WAS (McConaughey's character in a movie called Dazed And Confused) and I pointed out me and him have the same birthday.Angie was weirded out by me knowing anything about him, apparently...
