The Last Harvest is SO good. I've read so many books set in huge urban surroundings that I just always felt so detached from. Even the S.E Hinton books had scenes in cities like Tulsa and OKC.
But Midland, OK is JUST like my town.
Clay is friends with his cousins, cares about where his next meal is coming from. Everyone in town is kinda related, mostly, everything worth mentioning happens at the Quick Trip.
It's nice to have a book be so relatable so fast.
This book was so expensive and I was SO excited about it.... Please continue to be awesome.
Outdoor chores in the fall aren't so bad.

Tomorrow is my last Goretober prompt. The 28th will be a crossover comic series/anime fanart, the 29th and 30th will be book fanarts, and then the 31st is a tri-finale with an actual Inktober finale, a special Halloween picture with the Round-a-Bouts, and somethin' somethin' for Noodle-love's birthday.

It's what I wanted and more. Okie talk and GOOD horror.
I think no TDL till the weekend, when I'll actually have things get done, like making sure i wash all the clothes i want to take on the trip, that i get the dog pen cleaned up, etc.
All i wanna do tonight is finish The Last Harvest.
God it's fucking cold today. 43 when I got out this morning to human.Got to dig my denim jacket out of the closet and I love it so that's cool though.
Also today was another wearing-the-shirt-i-slept-in day. Yesterday it actually had freaking GUMBY on it, today it's just the USMC one.It was clean when I put it on last night and i was showered so i'm calling it fine.
I took it off to get completely dressed this morning and just had no drive to find another one to put on.
Found Sonic straw wrappers, a reciept for DG (bottled Starbucks) and an empty lighter in my jacket pockets 😅
Okay i have like a TINY bit to go in The Last Harvest so I'm gonna finish up my schoolwork, finish that and be back with a (probably fangirling) review in a few hours.
Also started Hallo-read #8 to keep the momentum going and it's starting good. Status update later.
I don't have time to do a review for The Last Harvest right now...But, guys, if you're at all curious about where I live, read it. It's small town OK down to every detail. It was amazing. AMAZING. I saw so much of myself in Clay, in his sisters, in his friends.
Rep for EVERYONE matters, i believe and support that. I know working class Oklahoma young adult is pretty meaningless.
But it was nice to see myself, and you all deserve that, too.
Review for The Last Harvest tomorrow. Four stars. Clever, well plottes, some tiny flaws in the writing. Liggett's first book so all is forgiven.
