It's the same vibe I got reading Johnny The Homicidal Maniac, written by the creator of Invader Zim, Jhonen Vasquez, and it transitions REALLY well to a cartoon.
Will hopefully get to watch more before summer's over.

Home :)Smiley face because for ONCE we managed a trip without trying to kill each other. The drive was easy because we figured how to avoid the Interstate route we used to take and we went into Texas through Denison it was like half an hour from there to Plano, ZERO Dallas traffic because we were never in Dallas :p
Honestly the drive would always dredge up other bullshit because mom would call out dad for his driving, dad would get defensive, mom overreacts to anyone saying pretty much anything about her, and I'm sitting there going "will one of you fucking drive already?!" and we avoided THAT, so that pretty much fixed everything. Not taking the interstate route again unless have to go TO Dallas, which, nobody lives there in the family anymore.
Lounged around Chris and Doug's pool, ate some grilled sandwiches/burgers, (avocado sandwich for me) watched fireworks from their driveway, left their house NOT drunk and woke up this morning WITHOUT a hangover, so all things considered, much better trip than last time.I left my phone in my backpack the whole time and only had it out to show Doug pictures of cars and cats. I needed to unplug.
I read Huntress: Year One (good. Could've been better) last night and Attack On Titan vol. 2 (asdfghjkl) on the drive home.
Leaving the electronics off save for some animation watching tonight, because my 4th isn't over yet, so I'mma stay unplugged a while longer :)Y'all PM me if ya need the zombie queen for anything, though. I got my email notifs on, and my phone doesn't leave my pocket much.
dunno when I'll review Huntress Year One, but I will eventually.
I have goals for the evening.But tomorrow is Spider-Man day so why post them and depress myself?

Remember how i meant to read Jim Butcher's Spider-Man book (Spider-Man: The Darkest Hours) and my FIRST Spider-Man comic book (Amazing Spider-Man vol. 1: Coming Home) before Homecoming came out, and here we are on July 7th, and I haven't read them?
I did watch all of Spectacular Spider-Man though.
I'll read Coming Home this weekend and The Darkest Hours after #makemereadit (starting on Monday ahhhhhhh!) is over.
Verdict on Spider-Man: Homecoming:I guess... A 7.5 out of 10. Had lots of throwbacks to the Spider-Man of the past, I liked their Liz, (and that it WAS Liz, though Gwen Stacey is preferred) their Vulture, the one and only Michael Keaton, was top notch, Tom Holland was alright, Ned was an odd choice for the best friend, but I liked him and lastly, Aunt May (Merisa Tomei) was actually pretty good.
... Now for the negatives.Character updates were expected, but there was a new relation that I DIDN'T like at all. MJ, as per usual, was a snot with no personality. Flash was a straight-up jerk as opposed to being a nice guy who acted jerky for misguided reasons, PLUS, Flash is supposed to be a dumb jock, not a quiz bowl kid. That probably shouldn't bug me, but it does, because it pretty much destroys his character.
Iron Man was pretty pointless. I liked him okay, but he didn't need to be that big a part of it.
And there was one thing that REALLY pissed me off, but it's kind of a spoiler. Anyway.Homecoming is okay. Not as good as the Toby McGuire Spider-Man trilogy, or The Amazing Spider-Man, but, it did have plenty of things to like, and the classic Spider-Man vibe. Better than Amazing Spider-Man 2, I guess.
I knew it was going to be the weakest Marvel release this year, what with it being between GOTG2 and Thor 3, and with Logan coming before it.I have medium hopes for the (god willing) sequel that will most likely be WAYYY overshadowed by Avengers: Infinity War.
Oh right and Deadpool 2 because Marvel realized they CAN make R rated stuff, which somehow DC still doesn't get XD
What the fuck how have I watched half of Invader Zim already?!Easy when every episode after one is only eleven minutes I guess.
Full disclosure- I started Invader Zim because I needed a cartoon that was episodic and never really had a finale because between F Is For Family, Spectacular Spider-Man and Samurai Jack, cartoons have kicked my ass AGAIN this year.
