I'm so unbelievably STOKED.When we move (it's so soon I'm actually getting excited) I can get my own laptop!
No more having to sneak out of my room if I want to use the computer at night, no more rushing off at five till six and, best of all, no more checking a thousand times to make sure none of my social stuff is still showing on the search engines. :D
My folks would KILL me if they found out I was talking to people online.
I mean, really, I'm talking to people who love the same books I do, sharing my art with people who actually seem to appreciate it and not laugh at me when I say I'm majoring in art at college and I'm talking to people who are actually HELPING me become less of an outcast. I actually TALK here and on DA and it really helps me to be less nervous about other people in real life.
And I need that if I'm ever going to start going to school.
But, when I get my own computer, that won't be an issue.
So i'll stop bitch ranting about it.

No, I don't have a phone or a tablet. I am allowed to use the family computer, just not after my dad gets home at six PM. And I'm NOT allowed to be on any social sites except Facebook to talk to some family members, so by being on Goodreads and DeviantART, I'm breaking some major rules.
But I'm getting my own laptop when school starts next semester. :) So no worries.

Okay, so I had a bit of a cold over the weekend. Chill, dudes, I'm fine now. But I'd like a share a funny incident from yesterday.
FYI, THIS is how I am sick. A total bitch.
So, I was standing in the kitchen and I blew my nose.
And my nostril whistled.
It ALWAYS does that. Annoying or what?
And, after sed nostril whistle, my dad asked
"You got a baby elephant in there?"
Keep in mind I'm pissy when I'm sick, so I replied with
"Yeah. His name's Winston."
So, for the rest of the day, every time I blew my nose, I'd go
"Crap. I stepped on Winston."

Stayed up waaaayyyyy too late last night watching Kick-Ass.What do you expect me to say, the book was better.
But the movie was pretty damn good. If I'd never read the comic, I would've loved it.
But still, easy seven out of ten.
Dave was pretty good, though I would've chosen Jessy Eisenberg over Aaron Johnson.
H didn't get laid in the comic book. And he was okay with it. I respected him for that.
But of course he lost his V-card in the movie. I guess I'm okay with it, but (and I swear i'll only say this once) Spider-Man didn't screw around with Mary Jane in the comics, okay? He didn't get to sleep with his dream girl and he. Was. Cool. With it.
Just sayin'.
Mindy was PERFECTION. Nobody but Chloe Moretz could've portrayed a butterfly-knife wielding ten-year-old so well.
Big Daddy (Nick Cage, Nick Cage, oh my nerdy God!) was meh.
His story was SEVERELY changed for the movie. And can someone PLEASE tell me why they had to make him look like BATMAN? He was his own hero.
Batman would've been scared of him.
Red Mist was also PERFECTION. He was less antagonistic than he was in the comic, but whatever. Christopher Plasse was pretty good. And he NAILED the attitude.

As far as the plot goes, they gutted some of the really graphic bits from the comic. And they didn't use Condition RED. I mean, yeah, it was coke. And you can't in all good conscience show a ten-year-old (though I think the actress was fifteen or sixteen) using coke.
Plus, come one. They replaced it with a JET PACK.
They didn't hook Kick-Ass's testicles up to electrodes, but in retrospect, that might've been hard to watch.
Yeah, they chopped the plot a little. But the major devices were all still there.
And Atomic Comics was SO cool.
I was saying stuff like
"Ah! Marty's reading a serial of The Runaways!"
"Oh, dude! Frickin' A Electra figure."
"Holy. Nerfherding. Balls. Is that an ALEX ROSS painting?!?"
*Dad bangs on my door*
"Shut up! You're watching that stupid movie by yourself!"
*muttering* "Shank."

Anyway, as far as comic-to-film adaptations go, it was pretty good.
If you hate it, my response is: Hey, it's not Daredevil.

I asked a question through a journal post on DA.It was mind-numbingly simple.

It's the Pyramid Head and the Missionary from the Silent Hill movies. They're not my best, (I'm actually pleased the the Pyramid Head, it's not terrible) but I don't really have anything else saved, except for some stuff that's for a project in May.

Don't worry, learning anything (especially art, it seems) takes a long time. If you have the desire to create, everything else is just secondary. It always works out.
