I stumbles upon this one day and have been looking again for it ever since

chapter book about 3 kids where they find this cat near the ocean and later in the book I remember they found another cat in this fancy store and she had kittens and they, I think tried to swap out maybe the fancy cat for there cat?? not totally sure. one of the kids had anger issues and was slightly aggressive. I read this book maybe 2-3 years ago. the cover had the kids standing near the ocean and the cat kind upfront
