I have a little question. I'm reading Jane Eyre. My paperbook version which I have but am not reading has 441 pages and that is very small print.

The kindle version I have says 322 pages, but it feels longer than the average 300 page book and it isn't because it's heavy stuff.

Someone who has read it, does it seem like 322 is too little?

Jane Erye contains ~178,000 words so it would normally be longer than 322 pages. Average novels contain around 100k words. Books usually contain between 250-400 words per page. Although sometimes books have smaller print with more words per page. 350 seems to be average for adult novels and 250 more for YA novels. So this would put it around 500 pages if you use 178,000/350 = 509.

Maybe I should use another version then for correct count. Another kindle version seems to have the exact same content, but it says 600 pages or something like that, seems like they messed up the numbers on this one, I might just use another :)
