Getting a lot of reading done since I'm recovering from surgery. So here is February's challenge.

1. Read a book whose author's surname begins with W.
2. Since Valentine's Day is coming, read a love story.
3. Mardi Gras is at the end of the month so read a book with a green, gold, and/or purple cover.
4. The Westminister Kennel Club Dog Show is coming up so read a book with a dog on the cover.
5. Read a non-fiction book that is not historical.
6. Read a book you should have read in civics class.
7. Read a book about a winter sport you like.
8. Read a YA book.
9. Your choice.

Colleen Mertens | 39 comments So I just finished Black Boy by Richard Wright, which I think is a great read for an election year. Wright recounts his life growing up as an African American man in the South under Jim Crow and his move north. It was an excellent book and it feels so timely for this election year.

Colleen Mertens | 39 comments I have also finished another twisted tale "Part of your World" which covers Ariel's story. It was pretty inventive but took a little while to get moving. Once it did, it was great.
