It was about two kids (I think both boys) that build a raft and then they get lost at sea or shipwreck onto this mysterious shrinking/disappearing/sinking island. I believe the island was basically a large rock in the middle of the ocean and they have to find rescue or save themselves before the rock completely gets swallowed up by the sea. I vaguely remember something about them finding a cavern in the rocks. Been looking for this book for years!
