Get recommendations from list of books

I am someone who reads mainly from getting books through a library. I was thinking whether it would be possible to get recommendation for users from a pre-defined list of books instead of from all books on goodreads

I mean a person has an account and he has access to a library's book list. Then given an input containing book name, author name, will goodreads be able to generate recommendations from the defined books only?

We do not surface recommendations through our public API at this time.

You know that you are missing out. Right? By limiting this you are actually taking out a lot of possibilities that may came up using the API.
