SOLVED. Boy has to watch a tv channel at a specific time. He is transported into a world where people are looking for items in his world & he competes on a game show to solve riddles to clue him on what the items are. There are like 3 or 4 riddles. [s]

A childrens or young adult novel (more tweeny i think) that i read around grade 5-7 so 11-13 years old, although im leaning on the younger end. I remember there being something about a clock and a portal, not much else unfortunately. Any suggestions?
