Just finished chapter 3 and I'm surprised by how their father is! (view spoiler) So far I find the story interesting!
Read up to chapter 7. My two take homes so far are a lot of fathers are *insert rude word of choice* and sibling love is all kinds of complicated.
@maya I totally didn't pick up on that!! i didn't like Tella, still kind of don't, but that may change. I didn't consider she was passing the blame to save her sister, considering how he punishes. An awful man really.
I feel bad for Scarlett too, I really think the Count is a fake; I think those letters are fabrications.

I'm a bit behind I'm on chapter 12. I enjoyed it so far but I don't really like Scarlett :/ she is a bit whiny and naive
I can’t really get into this. I was super exited about it, and I’m just not feeling it. Have you ever had a dream where you know who the people are because you just know, but you can’t see their faces? That’s how I feel about the descriptions of this author. Like she could have done a much better job with describing what everyone looks like. It’s just really bland and I’m not intrigued. I’m going to finish it, with the hope it gets better.
I finished it! overall I really enjoyed it, but I totally get that about the characters. I didn't like Scarlett which sucks. I found the other characters way more interesting (especially Julian)
Ch. 21. I'm quite behind, but WHAT. there's no way I'm buying this, this was so predictable that I can't accept it's real. He can't be it. I'm mad.
@ Franz Yes! This was one of my early thoughts but then thought nah no way, that's too easy.
