SOLVED. Kids (chapter) book about twins finding dolls belonging to a long dead set of twins in the window seat of the tower room of their new home. [s]

My recollection is very vague. I'm 36 now, when I was a kid (pre highschool) I took it out of the library constant. I was an advanced reader though, so not sure how that goes on age.

Plot that I can remember. There was a set of twins. They ended up in an old house and then there was a tower room with a window seat. And they found old dolls, and somehow those dolls gave them a connection with the previous owners of the dolls, twins, but they were long dead twins. It wasn't scarry, bit that's all I remember.

Other things that may or may not be my imagination or the book... One twin was thing something about it taking over her sisters personalty? Possibly something about burring the dolls in the garden?

I know this is vague which is why I'm struggling so much
