Group Reads 2015

This thread will be where I list our group reads for 2015. I will maintain a list as we go through the year.


January - A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
February - Emma by Jane Austen
March - Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell (allowed 2 months due to length)
May - Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë
June - Sabriel by Garth Nix
July - The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith
August - The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
September - Murder Must Advertise by Dorothy L. Sayers
October & November - Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy (will allow 2 months due to length)
December - will use this time as catch-up. I know that I can use some extra time.

Unless otherwise noted, our group read discussions will begin on the 20th of the month. I will try to post a thread about a week prior to that date. They will occur monthly except in the case of very long books.

Haven't we read some great books since we started having regular group reads? I do wish more would participate and comment.

I've really enjoyed the push to get some of these read. Many have been on my personal TBR for a long time.

So have I even though I am so behind now. Hope to finish at least 2 more this year.

I made the executive decision (:-D) to use December as a time for any who might still be reading to catch up a bit with the group reads.

We will start again in 2016.

We've had several LARGE tomes this year ... even with allowing two-months for a couple of them, it was quite a stack to get through.
