I am looking for a book series that I read in primary school. This series was about a stray dog who saves his adoptive family from various wildlife in each book. I think the dog was brown and black and was found in the rain, in a box. Also, the family lived on a farm, if I remember correctly. I would have read this around age 5-6, in 2004, 2005, or 2006.
