Hmmm, yes, I could do some shuffling around actually and get one reverse covered with that as well as the colour card.

Thanks!

Sophie (drsophie) | 717 comments Thanks everyone for the work finding coloured covers yesterday!

I've just updated the start of the thread. Sorry I haven't been about much today, I work Mondays and Tuesdays and don't always have time to pop in here.

What do we think of False Value (Rivers of London, #8) by Ben Aaronovitch for a green cover?

message 608: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments Oh yes, the Aaronovich is definitely green!

message 609: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (drsophie) | 717 comments Wonderful, I've been looking forward to it for months! When I finish my current audio, that will be next up.

message 610: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments If nobody else has anything for 5 Green, I can read The Corset by Laura Purcell . It has an Ivy character.

But I'll wait to see if maybe one of those people who haven't snag a colour card yet might have something.

message 611: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaaate) | 78 comments Corset is fine with me, Eldarwen, to be honest the only colour cards I can cover this month are red!

Sophie (drsophie) | 717 comments We can always switch things about if other books turn up that fit.

Sophie (drsophie) | 717 comments Just finished another book (completion will come when I'm not on the app), which means I'm now reading my 3 for colour cards. Does anyone else have multiple books on the go at the same time?

I usually have at least two on the go.

My currently-reading shelf is a little - or completely - out of control at the moment but I still manage to find my way hehe.

message 617: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (drsophie) | 717 comments I normally have a book on my phone, an audio and one on my Kindle for bed time. This year I've got War and Peace going v slowly and I'm trying to read a bit of a paperback every day. Is getting a little out of control...

message 618: by Sharon (new)

Sharon (sherbear89) I usually have at least 2 going on. There maybe an audio book added in every few weeks as well.

Well False Value (Rivers of London, #8) by Ben Aaronovitch is 47% Green as per Tineye

message 621: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments Good thing then that we aren't using Tineye anymore :-p

Also, please remember that middle names do not count. Only first and last names or nicknames.

message 622: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (drsophie) | 717 comments I'm reading it either way! It's one of my favourite audiobook series.

Komal, if you've got anything for a Green 4 you think is more green and are wanting to read, I'd be happy to use it instead.

I've read the first couple of chapters ages ago and liked them! And then of course I never continued because the book was too big to drag around haha.

Maybe I'll read it as a reverse in April :-)

message 636: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (drsophie) | 717 comments Ooh that looks interesting. My tbr shrinking is taking a hit this challenge!

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend. We're off to celebrate my best friend's 5 year olds birthday - lots of children running round should be chaotic fun.

message 637: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments At least you'll get cake!! :-D

Hopefully?

I went to stock up on cat food this morning, which is something I really should be doing more regularly. He eats like a bear sometimes! I'll go for lunch now with my parents and then I'll come home and read the remaining 20 pages of my book - I'm a little sad it's almost over already. I enjoyed being inside R's head. And then... the big challenge of picking my next read! I want to read all the books haha.

Sophie (drsophie) | 717 comments I'm glad you enjoyed the book! Sad to say goodbye to them when you get properly into them. Hope the choice of what to read next wasn't too hard.

Yesterday was good fun. Had a little birthday lunch and played some party games at their house before going to the main party at a local gymnastics club. He had great fun playing on all the equipment. There were 2 cakes so we did well there!

message 640: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments In the end, it was fairly easy. I started Silver Silence for the red colour card. Nalini Singh's books are always calling to me and as I had planned to read this one anyway... the choice was obvious. Even though I do have another stack that I really, really, really want to read hehe. Those will be next then ;-)

Kayla Blackburn | 32 comments Hi everyone! I wanted to introduce myself. I joined the challenge a tad late as I’d just discovered it! :) My name is Kayla and I live in Indiana. My favorite genres are fantasy and historical fiction. I’m currently reading through the Outlander series so it’s consuming most of my reading!

message 646: by Kayla (new)

message 647: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments Hello and welcome to the team, ladies! :-)

As for what you should be reading: whatever you want really as long as it fits for one of the Uno cards (i.e. initials or titles starting with one of those letters - read rules for more info!)

Otherwise, if you'd like to hunt for a colour cover, we are still in need of a 5 Green! So a green cover book with a title or author or character starting with I.

Reverse cards are another fun thing to hunt down. Books that have been previously read (no matter when) by other team members.

message 648: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (drsophie) | 717 comments Hi Kayla and Tiarra!

Lovely to have you both join us. I've put a summary of what we're looking for this month in one of my posts on the first page of the thread and there are some useful links there too.

Otherwise read what you want for the next week, most things fit somewhere. When the next mini-challenge comes around (probably next week) we'll be asking people for other things. Sorry I can't say more, don't yet have any details!
