Hi Anuhba - I'm sorry - I double checked and The Slippery Slope's cover doesn't include over 50% yellow so it can't be claimed for a yellow card.

BarbaraAnn Hi Megan - we're glad to have you. Here's a link to

Team Tracking sheet and color/specialty cards for March

This is a general tracking sheet - as the majority of books can work for more than 1 option, please either enter your books into the Team tracking sheet (there's a column for all options) or if you'd prefer, please post the book in this thread. I've also entered the most difficult cards into that post - color cards - we have a lot this month, including some draw 4 cards (Each draw 4 card duplicates one of the March color cards - each color card can only be duplicated once).

I've also copied the post with the UNO color book suggestions into the first page of our team thread to make it easier to see.

Denise (duckiedee) | 83 comments Welcome Megan!

Sorry I've been absent.. had the flu last week and did nothing but sleep and stare at the television.. I had no ability to focus on reading...

I'm not sure if I completed my books on the spreadsheet... I'll try to check it later today and update my data.

Thanks Denise! Hope you’re feeling better. The flu tends to take all energy until it wears out.

Raine (raine_renner) | 23 comments Hi everyone! Sorry I’ve been a little quiet. Things have been busy at work, and am now on vacation. I’ve been reading and have a few books for March. I should be able to get those logged in by end of the week. We are at Disney World, so not a lot of time to relax and chill, but at the end of the week we are going to an AirBnB to take a vacation from our vacation and should be able to get books loaded on my laptop then.

message 114: by BarbaraAnn (new)

BarbaraAnn Hi Everyone! HAPPY MARCH! I actually saw real grass this week instead of snow. As we're getting close to mid-March, we've received the request from UNOPixie to have the team sheet updated so she can get a feel about how the teams are doing. Please keep in mind that the books can and probably will be switched around later in the month.

On a general note - please make sure that you're saving finished books to your uno shelf. This makes it easier to confirm books and will be especially important during the upcoming mini-challenge.

Thanks!!!

BarbaraAnn, Cinthia & Tiffany

message 115: by BarbaraAnn (new)

BarbaraAnn HI EVERYONE! The March mini-Challenge has been posted in our team spreadsheet. I've also copied the sheet to the tracking sheet.

This one is a little different from last month's mini. Last month was cooking for a party. This month continues that theme with getting ready for the party. Please take a look and pick options you'd like to read for. A lot of books may qualify for more than one book. next to your post (or in the team thread) please note other tasks your book would work if someone else has a book that would fit your space, it can be switched.

BarbaraAnn Hi Everyone! I hope that everyone is safe. In my area, we're at the "shelter in place" option so everyone needs to remain at home. Fortunately, my job has agreed that everyone can work at home and still get paid for the moment.

As you're reading, please keep the mini-challenge in mind and enter any option that would apply.

message 121: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Oiney_Reads_Another (oiney_reads_another) | 66 comments I live in Ontario Canada, and we’ve basically been in lockdown since Tuesday. I’m still going to work, because my job doesn’t involve hardly any human interaction. But I’m not sure how long that will last. I think the government will shut all non necessity business down next week.

message 122: by Cinthia (new)

Cinthia (cinthiah) | 308 comments Hey everyone, we still need a lot of books to complete our spreadsheet this month. There are still a few color cards available too. We need a red 7 and a green 7. We also have 3 more Wild Draw 4 cards that can be any of the colors in the spreadsheet except for Red 3 and Green 2, which have already been duplicated.

Also, don't forget to add your books to your UNO shelf. It makes things a lot easier for the captain and co captains if they have to move things around to make everything fit. :)

message 123: by BarbaraAnn (new)

BarbaraAnn Thanks Cinthia!

I have a book that will work either for 7 Green or one of the Wild Draw 4 cards.

Elizabeth | 47 comments Hi everyone!

Like most people, I'm struggling with the lockdown. I have a 6-year old at home, and I've been unable to read for pleasure since this all started. When I'm not chasing after her I'm too exhausted to focus on reading. I end up re-reading the same passage 3 times and then couldn't tell you what I just read.

I'm hoping to still read my agreed-upon 4 books this month, but with circumstances being what they are, it may not happen. :(

Hey Amar, did you finish those books? If so, what are the read dates? Also, take a quick look to see if any of them would fit the mini challenge, and how. If not, I can add your books to the story part. :)

message 128: by Anubha (new)

Anubha (BooksFullOfLife, LifeFullOfBooks) (anubhaghoshal) With the lockdown even though am at my home, all the research work just keeps getting piled up, so I was busy finishing most of them and couldn't read much this month. I will finish all the books I claimed though.

Book update:-

Slade House by David Mitchell

Anubha (BooksFullOfLife, LifeFullOfBooks) (anubhaghoshal) I just checked the main spreadsheet, the 2 Green is already filled despite being claimed. And 6 Yellow is not even filled (no date read, or person its read by) again despite the card being already claimed.

message 130: by Anubha (new)

Anubha (BooksFullOfLife, LifeFullOfBooks) (anubhaghoshal) Could the captains and co captains look into that? Thanks.

message 131: by BarbaraAnn (last edited Mar 24, 2020 02:18PM) (new)

BarbaraAnn Hi Anubha,

We were just experimenting to see what cards we had. Everyone will have their claimed books on the board. The claimed books were listed on page one as a reminder.

Sorry for the confusion.

Lisa | 11 comments Hey everyone! Amidst all this chaos, I’m one of the few who work in an essential business. I have been working more hours to fill in for the ones who can’t come in so I haven’t been able to read as much as I would like. Hopefully April is different but I don’t think so.

message 135: by BarbaraAnn (new)

BarbaraAnn Hi Lisa. I’m glad you’re ok. Life happens (this year more than most). Don’t worry to keep up with a specific number of books. Read what you have time for. This is for fun.

message 136: by Cinthia (new)

Cinthia (cinthiah) | 308 comments We're almost done with part one of the mini challenge! All we need is a book with a blanket on the cover, and another with any kind of ship on the cover. Anyone? ;)

message 137: by Anubha (new)

Anubha (BooksFullOfLife, LifeFullOfBooks) (anubhaghoshal) Is the march full sheet full or there are still cards remaining to be read?

message 138: by Anubha (new)

Anubha (BooksFullOfLife, LifeFullOfBooks) (anubhaghoshal) main sheet*

message 139: by BarbaraAnn (new)

BarbaraAnn There are a lot of spaces to be filled. We can switch things around so almost any books will be able to be used. Right now we have

1 - 3
2 - 3
3 - 2
4 - 2
5 - 5
6 - 3
7 - 6
8 - 1
9 - 3

All the skip and reverse cards have been used, but if you want to read for one of those, we can switch other books around. Every book read will end up with a space.

BarbaraAnn Yep. I had also forgotten to add in the Wild draw 4 cards so we have 19 color cards to cover in April.

I know that I have one book that would cover either 0 red or 6 red and I'd like to read for 7 green (or wild draw 4 for any of the above).
