@Heather and I also hope I'll enjoy reading the book you've recommended Illuminae by the same author. I plan to buy it in April and since I'm not going to travel for at least 3 months, I'm going to read more :)
It actually is a bit crazy, but I really love such challenges and readathons. Motivates me a lot to read more.
Jess wrote: "Great! I've chosen serious team :) I'm going to at least try it :D"I've only ever done the for fun teams. Contemplating bumping up to serious since I've been reading approx 15 books a month this year. Can't decide.
Take it easy, it's better sometimes to go on a slower pace and have some rest. As for me I had a pretty long period, when I couldn't read much, so I'm a bit eager to read more. And also I went quite crazy on reading manga series :D
I've finished The Mortal Instruments Series. About 2 months ago I've tried to watch the series and didn't like it. Books are much better. [3-4 stars] for the series.

I hope they get better somehow

But when I read the first 3 books, it was much better, but still a bit flat.
Read them in the recommended reading order if you continue past the original 3 I believe it is of TMI. I enjoy the books. I still have many to finish!
I personally heard so many opinions on this. Some people say to read them as they are, some to read them in the recommended reading order, I am just confused as hell 😂
Same here, I just decided to start reading from what I already owned at that time :D If the other books are better, I believe I give them a try sooner or later.I'm also so into manga those days. Just fly through several series really fast.
And also decided to reread Harry Potter for the ***nd time.

Do the recommended order as there are mini spoilers and appearances from characters. It makes everything fit together better. At least according to the author.
But really, its up to you! :)

Great :) the more people - the better.I've added a new BR for ~ April 20, The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

I'm a bit late for this discussion but I adored Illuminae and Aurora Rising. They're both fantastic.

Added and actually finished today a manga series Paradise Kiss Series. It's written by the same author, who wrote Nana Series. I liked both. Nice drawing and light, romantic, enjoyable story.
@Jo Glad you are home safe!I have been pushed back at work to only working one day per week for the time being. I work Mondays only. Everyone has been cut back. I work for a private pain practice and we have moved to a tele med for our visits since the patients have been cancelling their appointments. My job is scheduling for trials and ordering pain pump meds but since elective procedure are not allowed, there goes about 80% of my job! Hence my being cut to one day per week. Honestly, at this point, I would rather not even go in for that one day. I am able to collect partial unemployment but feel that I am risking myself for one day that is not really worth it
Added a great amount of BRs. And I've started reading The Vine Witch. Great atmospheric read. I can feel like I'm also there, with the main character.
Oooh! I have the Vine Witch as well but have yet to get to it so will be anxious to see how you end up liking it!
I've read about 50% of The Vine Witch and love it. Some unexpected twists occurred, today I'm going to finish reading. Hope it will be as good as I wanted it to be. Update you later.
Finished The Vine Witch and wrote a review. It was a great 5 star read for me. But not so good for others :D
I'm glad to see you liked it! I've seen some of the lower reviews and been nervous but this gives me some hope!
That one was recommended to me by an old high school friend recently! Glad to see you loved it, makes me more excited to get to it.

And the author, because he has at least one more really good series: The Legends of the First Empire. I've read only the 1st book, but it was amazing.
Jess wrote: "Finished April 04-10 readathon 7 books in 7 days (5637 pages). Waiting for May! :D"
Well done!!
I want to read Sullivan's books but I never seem to get to them. Glad you loved it!

Ooh! I'll look that one up too!
@Brittany definitely try reading :)@Heather great, I hope you'll love both series.
Update: Just finished one more BR Chocolat by Joanne Harris. Recently I've been reading only the books I enjoyed. It's a total luck :D Enjoyed this one too. So cozy and sweet! Here is the review.
