I know right? This book was kind of a disapointment. The first 100 pages or so really dragged on and sadly I didn't like Al as much in this book.
no worries take your time. I understand it was a bit slow and if you are weirded out by the clown part of it I can understand your aversion to reading it lol
I have a thing about clowns apparently. I'm heading down to the beach Tuesday so I'll try to have it read by then with a review since there is no internet down there.
Are y'all leaning towards reading the next book?
The third book doesn't come out till next month but yes I would like to read the next one especially with how this one ended.
I wish I could go to the beach :( Why does it have to be so cold here? Soak up some sun for me as well!

I was going to say it was cold here too but yeesh...Iowa. You win. Bundle up!Perhaps we should start discussing the book we read in between? Something that is maybe only 1 book long or not some massive series to get wrapped up in. Just a thought.
Iowa sucks I can't wait to move hopefully this spring. At least there is no snow on the ground *knocks on wood* but it is still windy and cold.
well the next books on the list is The Bane Chronicles (Which I know Melissa doesn't really want to read), Throne of glass (I know Melissa and I have read Heir of fire and want to read the short story collection The Assassin's blade), or we can even choose something off of the list as well. Is there a book you can think of that you would like to read? I have been wanting to read The Young Elites that is only one book, or Trial by fire?
Why are there so many series! lol

Ahh Raquel, you know me well. Bane Chronicles I'm not touching it with a ten foot pole(Clare really did a number on me with TMI). Throne of Glass, we've read everything. Except the novella. I've been planning on getting to that. Procrastination at it's best, I guess.I read the Young Elites which I totally recommend.
We could read Maya Dyer? Or Cruel Beauty? Those are on the list.
And yes there are waaaaay too many series availible.
Oh and I feel I must point out I live in a year round summer fest hehe. The perks of the caribbean. :P
So jealous of your warm weather! *crys* can I come visit you for the winter? I have been to the Caribbean on a cruise that was a lot of fun, I need to go again soon. But I promised Allen that the next cruise we take we would go to Alaska or if the next cruise is our wedding then we are doing a panama canal one.
Bane Chronicles are not on my to-read list by any means. I've read Throne of Glass but haven't quite made it to the third book yet. I keep getting distracted.Has anybody read Maya Dyer or Cruel Beauty? It would be nice to read books that the others haven't read.
Melissa, can we come visit? It's cold here.
Hehe. We always want what we don't have cause I would seriously kill for snow. I miss the cold weather. At least that way when summer comes you're actually excited. Trust me the heat gets old. Fast. But by all means come and we can enjoy the beaches which are always fab. I thin Maya dyer hasnt been read by any of us. I think, or Cruel Beauty. But if it is then lets cross it off the list. It's better when we all dive in at the same time.
I haven't read either Mara Dyer or Cruel Beauty so I am fine with reading either of those.
Also Brittain The Assassin's Blade of short stories can be read before you read the third book of Throne of Glass.
I have had snow all of my life I am tired of it. I mean it wouldn't be so bad if the the people actually plowed the streets like they were supposed to or if wasn't like -5 degrees F with a cold wind that goes with our winter. At least you can go outside and do stuff when it is warm with the cold you just want to hibernate the whole time or at least that is what I want to do. Hide under my covers with a book.

How about this: I'll trade you Alabama right now for Puerto Rico. I can speak Spanish...maybe I would do alright.I got excited for Cruel Beauty but that's just me. I'm on a bit of a fairytale kick. Whatever y'all want next is good.
I know the basics of Spanish I should be able to get by I think.
Cruel Beauty is okay with me. I haven't read a lot of Fairy tale retellings so they are interesting to me right now too.

Raquel, did you laugh at people in Atlanta last year during the Snowpocalypse? When would y'all want to start the next one? I'll be done with Unhinged probably tomorrow evening if all goes as planned.
Umm I can probably get Cruel Beauty by Tuesday as long as my book store has it, I will keep you posted if they don't.
What about Buffalo New York this year, I was looking at all the amazing photos of how much snow they had and how it broke into some peoples homes. I am so glad I don't live there. But no I don't think I heard about Atlanta last year. But that might have been because I was dealing with my Grandma's health declining and eventually death last winter time.

But I want to build a snowman. Get to the point were your fingers are so cold from playing they're practically numb....yeah the inner kid in me.At least with the cold you could just add layers till you're warm. Whereas if it's hot you could only take off as much without being accused of being an exhibitionist haha
Don't worry guys a lot of people speak english here. Well at least restaurants have menus in english.
I could read cruel beauty. Lets do that one. It was one of the firsts I bought after having made the list. Besides I need to read more retellings.
For me its getting warm that's the problem. My body likes to suck in the cold and stay that way. So like I have to have 8 billion blankets on me and wait like 45 mins. before I start to feel a little warm. But as soon as I get warm and as long as I stay under the blankets I'm fine it just seems like it does take forever. I will agree though I love having snow fights with Allen every year I will miss that when I leave, but not all the other problems that come with it.
Buffalo...
The Snowpocalypse happened in late January. It was basically an inch of ice on the roads everywhere from Birmingham to Atlanta. The roads shut down because all of the salting trucks were sent South with the forecast and then all of the schools were let out at once and it was a huge freaking mess. It only took an hour for all of the roads to turn into skating rinks.

Moving on...Cruel Beauty? Yes.
Lol I laughed so hard... damn now I want some chicken wings lol but now snow thanks.
Yes Cruel Beauty yes.
Also Melissa your but I want to build a snowman comment has now got Do you want to build a snowman song stuck in my head from Frozen.

That is a picture of a car parked next to a telephone pole. I couldn't see it the first time I saw the picture.Have y'all seen the video of the baseball guys lip syncing to "Love is an open door" from Frozen? Hysterical.
True I get that. Yea I really wanted Wonderland to be in this book and it just was a big dissapointment
But I guess in Ensnared we get Anyelsewhere. Also I really hope she dumps Jeb because girl needs to embrace the madness and Jeb does not equal madness.
Have any of you read Clockwork Princess? Because I have a theory and if you haven't read it I dont want to spoil you.
I agree. Jeb is safe. But...she can have both and not have to give up either if she wants to go down that road. What a lucky girl. I have not read Clockwork Princess but I'm not intending to. Spoil away for me.
This whole reverse harem has got you bad huh? LolSo yeah in clockwrk Princess thats what basically happens. Since she's immortal, she stays with the mortal until he dies and has a family qnd whatnot and then years after she meets up with the other guy, the immortal one.
I kinda feel that vibe going on here. She'll probably have both in the end.
The weird thing is, for the first time, I onlY want her to have one guy. Total shocker, I know hehe
This isn't a reverse harem thing for me because I think both if the guys were together there would be serious personality conflicts.I like both of the guys but if I had to choose, I'd choose Morpheus. She deserves someone who has depth.
I don't know, Jeb reminds me of Adam from Shatter Me and Mal from Grisha and Bone. Very bleeh characters.
Maybe that's why we are so drawn to Morpheus and Warner and such. We know it is rational to pick a good guy who is safe and secure but deep down, so many girls want the excitement of a guy with an edge.
so many spoilers! its ok i just skimmed the comments above so i didnt ruin anything for myself. other than i know in the shatter me series she ends up with warren and i think that is why im not continuing on from the first book yet.
Ooops! I didn't realize you were going to read the Clockwork Princess. But seriously Raquel you've got to finish the Shatter Me series. Trust me! He totally redeems himself. That series became one of my favs because of those two last books.

That would be easier without her mother, freshly released from an asylum, acting overly protective and suspicious. And it would be much simpler if the mysterious Morpheus didn’t show up for school one day to tempt her with another dangerous quest in the dark, challenging Wonderland—where she (partly) belongs.
As prom and graduation creep closer, Alyssa juggles Morpheus’s unsettling presence in her real world with trying to tell Jeb the truth about a past he’s forgotten. Glimpses of Wonderland start to bleed through her art and into her world in very disturbing ways, and Morpheus warns that Queen Red won’t be far behind.
If Alyssa stays in the human realm, she could endanger Jeb, her parents, and everyone she loves. But if she steps through the rabbit hole again, she'll face a deadly battle that could cost more than just her head.
