Work has commenced on turning The Rosie Project into a movie. Have you read it? The hero, Don Tillman, is so lovable that casting him will be crucial. Any ideas? By the by, who else read The Rosie Effect? Did you like it?

The whole time I read it I kept imagining Don as Sheldon Cooper (from Big Bang Theory) so I actually will have a hard time seeing him as any other actor. :)
I finished reading The Rosie Effect; like The Rosie Project, I gobbled it up in a couple of days. Oddly, I found the first chapter a bit slow, but then things got going. Don is so endearing that it's easy to get caught up in his thoughts and emotions. Plus, there's lots of tension in the second book with so much going wrong. (No plot spoilers!)I agree with Cindy about seeing someone like Sheldon Cooper while reading, but Don is described as being similar to Gregory Peck. There's got to be lots of tall, dark, and handsome choices. How about Lee Pace? He had a lot of 1930's charisma in Miss Pettigrew Lives for A Day, plus he's a good actor.
Yes, I can totally see Lee Pace in the role. Did you see him in The Fall? Based on his performance in that I can see it. Plus, he's not exactly hard to look at.
I just read it. All along I was thinking.. This would make a great movie. Funny thing, I saw the author on an Australian Book Show. He was so quirky that now I am imaging him as Don. Although I think Don was described as a bit hotter than Graeme Simsion.
I wonder who they have actually cast?
