PattyMacDotComma I recommend this to anyone dealing with anxiety and/or depression - their own, or someone else’s.

Your Own Kind of Girl is Aussie singer and entertainer Clare Bowditch’s raw, often funny, memoir, which includes lots of tips and a good reference list. The cover is one of my favourites!

PattyMacDotComma The Good Turn by Aussie/Irish author Dervla McTiernan is her best one yet! Irish detective Cormac Reilly is trying to fight crime and his superiors (I use the term loosely) at the same time.

Kristie | 5927 comments I'm reading The Institute and I need to know what's going to happen! It's so engaging. King is such a great storyteller.

message 222: by Mark (new)

Mark I'm currently reading Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators. Finding it pretty interesting, yet shocking so far.

Just finished reading The Last Town and I thought it was so gripping. I haven't read a series so fast.

PattyMacDotComma Is anybody normal, or do we just think everyone else is? I recently read Sally Rooney's Normal People, which was longlisted for the Booker Prize in 2018.

Paige | 1 comments I just finished the third book in the My Brilliant Friend series. Has anyone else read it? I’m going to read the fourth book next, but I’m not too excited about it because as the story progresses the characters are getting more and more easier to dislike.

PattyMacDotComma One of my favourite authors is Aussie Sulari Gentill who writes the delightful Rowland Sinclair historical mystery series. I loved Paving the New Road. He and his friends are in Munich in 1933, watching the frightening rise of Hitler and Fascism.

Kristie | 5927 comments I'm currently reading The Paris Wife for a RL book club. It reads sort of like a memoir. I'm about halfway through and I'm kind of bored. It's not bad and I don't dislike it really, but it isn't exciting or even very interesting. I just find it kind of neutral. I could stop reading and forget about it at any time.

I'm also reading Darling Rose Gold. It is better than the Paris Wife, but I'm not really loving this one either.
