Woman Reading (is away exploring) | 397 comments Finished Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series

Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost At Grave's End (Night Huntress, #3) by Jeaniene Frost Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost This Side of the Grave (Night Huntress, #5) by Jeaniene Frost One Grave at a Time (Night Huntress, #6) by Jeaniene Frost Up from the Grave (Night Huntress, #7) by Jeaniene Frost

Here are links to my reviews for the rest of the series -

#1 Halfway to the Grave 2.5 ☆
#2 One Foot in the Grave almost 3 ☆
#3 At Grave's End 3 ☆
#4 Destined for an Early Grave 3 ☆
#5 This Side of the Grave 3 ☆
#6 One Grave at a Time 3 ☆
#7 Up from the Grave 3 ☆

Given the average GR rating, I had expected to give these better marks. Maybe they fared worse in comparison because I had just finished the Kate Daniels books. But these initial books didn't have much of any world building. I liked Bones, even though his speech is filled with cliches of British slang, and was initially annoyed by Cat. Many reviews for the first book compared it to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." I've never watched that show. Instead, this series felt like HBO's "True Blood" show, especially in its later years.

You have to be online, not on the app. When online just above the text box you type in there is a link that says "add book/author." You click on that and you can do a search for your book. Then click add next to the correct book. The preset is book link with the title. If you want the cover to show you just need to select cover below the search results. You can also look for different editions or authors in that search area.

I'm super impressed that you finished the series without having one book that was above a 3 star for you. I would have given given up way before the final book. Kudos to you!

It's easy to read a series with these ratings when I'm procrastinating doing things I should be doing. 😉
I also liked the performance in the audiobook and for most if the books, the stories had really strong beginnings. 3☆ is a positive rating for me.
