It was meant to be an affair…

After Kelsey is assaulted, her FBI foster parents plead with her to spend a few weeks with their friends in Montana while they investigate the incident. Since she would do anything for them, she grudgingly agrees, wondering how she will pass the time on a ranch in the middle of nowhere without going stir crazy. As soon as she catches sight of her two hosts, Greg and Devin, she figures: what better way to take her mind off her troubles than with an affair with one of them?

Ex-FBI agents Greg and Devin vowed never to get personally involved with another woman under their protection after their last case ended in tragedy. When their former boss asks for their help, the two best friends butt heads over how to answer him. But what with the insecurity reflected in Kelsey’s blue eyes, the desperation behind her flirtations, and discovering her submissive side, both men find themselves succumbing to the petite blonde.

While Kelsey basks in the dominant attention of both her cowboys, she continues to insist she can’t wait to get back to her life in Philadelphia. It isn’t until the threat against her is verified, the truth comes out about her past, and a few disturbing mishaps occur that Greg and Devin step into full protection mode, vowing to keep the woman they’d both grown to care for safe. And not until after the guys save her life, freeing her to return home, does Kelsey realize home really is where the heart is, and hers is in Montana with her two cowboys.

Publisher’s Note: This steamy, contemporary Western romance contains elements of ménage, mystery, suspense and power exchange.

I live in the Midwest with my husband and two dogs, enjoy spending time with my daughter, babysitting her two dogs, reading and working puzzles. We have traveled extensively, but I much prefer being a homebody.

I began writing erotic novels with an emphasis on erotic spanking five years ago never dreaming that I would get published. I just celebrated the release of my eleventh title and am very thankful to my publisher, Pink Flamingo, for taking a chance on me and giving me the opportunity to enjoy a fun career. While my earlier books lean more towards straight erotica that will appeal to only a very select audience, my last five books are erotic romances. I enjoy hearing all comments from readers. BJ Wane has done it again! Her hot and lusty cowboy doms are back, and this time we get two of them! In the fifth book of her wildly popular Cowboy Doms series, BJ has long been a favorite author of mine, especially since her Virginia Doms series.

This time out accountant Kelsey Hammond is hired to audit the books at Club Dominion. When her curiosity gets the better of her, she finds herself attacked in the upper halls. Her foster parents are agents, and decide that she needs to be sent away for her own protection.

Enter Greg Young and Devin Fischer. Cowboys, agents and most importantly, Doms. But Devin wants nothing to do with the woman who gets under his skin, and Greg knows they really shouldn’t Can Kelsey break down their defenses? And will they find out if the threat is real?

You’ll want to grab this one up and find out for yourself!

What a great story!! I really liked this book. Kelsey is in danger even though she doesn’t think so. Her self proclaimed foster parents get her to agree to go to Montana for a few weeks just until they can figure out what was behind her attack. Twisty and then she has 2 very hot sexy Dom’s on her hands. What’s a girl to do?

Accountant Kelsey is upstairs in an office, auditing the books of Club Dominion, when she hears noises. Curious, she leaves the office and finds herself watching a sexy BDSM scene -- until she's attacked. Concerned that the attack may have been directed at Kelsey, she's sent to the Montana ranch of ex-FBI agents Greg and Devin for her own protection. When she learns they're also into the BDSM lifestyle, she decides she'll do anything to get them to teach her.

Kelsey is smart, spunky, and tough. Her background is heartbreaking, but to have it finally out in the open so she can heal is wonderful. Her men, Greg and Devin, have pain in their background, too, which makes their reluctance to get involved with them very realistic. The connection between the three of them seems very authentic, and the suspense is enough to keep the reader guessing.

Twice The Fun

I found the start of the book to be a bit slow, but that might have something to do with life outside the book. Around a third of the way in, I really started to enjoy Greg and Devin's flourishing relationship with Kelsey, and catching up with previous couples from the series. Lots of sexy scenes to enjoy.

Ok

Just did not like the h. She was so bratty. I really don’t see why both guys liked her so much. There are lots of hot scenes for sure, but again the h just drive me nuts. She sure doesn’t deserve both sexy men with that attitude!

BJ Wane continues to write outstanding stories that have mystery, suspense, action, and of course lots of love! This is the fifth story in the Cowboy Doms series. It can easily be read as a stand alone story but you will want to read the other stories in the series because they are in this story too. I loved reading this story from the very beginning. You see the story from everybody's perspective, not just one.

Kelsey seems to attract trouble. When she was seven, there was an attempted kidnapping. When she was older, another attack. Now just about 30, she gets attacked again. She is a nobody. She lost her parents when she was five. She was found wandering the streets and put into foster care. She go lucky and found her forever home when she was 10, and she has been part of their family ever since. She is a boring accountant, has had four very boring relationships where the guys left her and is weeks away from the big 3-0. Her foster parents are very close with her, they are FBI agents and they have a teeny, tiny little secret they have kept from her. When she is attacked the last time when she was doing the books for a club at night, nobody knows if the attacker was there for her or for the information from/about the club. Her parents send her out to Montana with some former FBI agents who have a dude ranch. Nobody would expect her to be in Montana when she is a Phili city girl.

Greg and Devin are former FBI agents who have been friends since middle school. They had a bad experience while protecting someone, they slipped up and slept with her and then lost her. They went back home to Montana and built a dude ranch. They don't want to do anything with protective services again, when their old boss calls up and asks a favor to protect his foster daughter until they can find out if the attempt on her was for her or something else. Greg agrees but Devin wants nothing to do with it. Barely two weeks into the month and they are both head over heals for the spit-fire on wheels. She looks like a tiny fae with being so petite with long white blonde hair, but she gives back like a brat. Now they are both terrified that history will repeat itself and lose her and their heart too.

Spicy MFM romance

Kelsey is sent away by her quasi-adopted parents to keep her safe, even though she doesn't think she's in any danger. Greg and Devin have the perfect setup to provide her refuge, as long as they don't get too close to her. Except that Kelsey isn't about to pass up the opportunity to get as close as possible to either or both of these hot cowboys.

Kelsey's character sometimes seemed more bratty than one would expect of a 29 year old; it was as though her annoying behavior was just to provoke the obligatory punishment scenes. Greg and Devin are both patient but kind Doms, but I didn't feel there was enough character depth to explain either one of them developing strong enough feelings for Kelsey to warrant the HFN ending.

The story works if you're just wanting the BDSM scenes or the whodunit/mystery aspect, but as a romance it felt a little thin. Still, it was great to see the other couples from the earlier books in the series, including a couple welcome updates. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Kelsey is assaulted and sent to Montana to "hide out" while Jordan, her foster dad who is with the FBI tries to figure out what is going on. Enter Greg and Devin, best friends who love sharing a woman between them and are roped into protecting Kelsey. She's not happy, and Greg sure isn't happy. Given how their last protection assignment turned out, he wants nothing to do with the cute little beauty. Devin is willing to help but as time goes on , Greg also starts getting feelings for their "assignment"! Just when things are going fairly well between the three of them, mysterious things start happening. There are twists, turns, lies and attempts to hurt Kelsey and secrets come out which cause Kelsey to not know who to believe anymore. Can she forgive the 2 people who say they love her, for the lies they told? And are Greg and Devin really going to let her go home when the danger is past?

Two Cowboy Dom’s are Better Than One

A thrilling fast paced ride with the two Cowboy Dom’s by one of the best BDSM Authors, the inimitable BJ Wane! A raw, sexy, evocative BDSM story of Greg, Devin and Kelsey adventures on the dude ranch the Wild Horse. Book 5 for me was certainly the best of the Cowboy Dom’s Series that you really must read as I can only but highly recommend this superb story, it gripped me from the very first page and dragged me along, I could only hang on and enjoy the book in one sitting and that’s what happens when you read Ms Wane’s magnificent series.
Had Kelsey’s life been one big lie and why? who were her foster parents really? Who was trying to eliminate Kelsey and why? Can Greg and Devin keep her safe?

Kelsey is the foster child of the McAllisters . She is attacked while at the Dominion Club her parents own. Her parents send her to some of their ex FBI friends for protection while they investigate the case. Kelsey meets Devin and Greg at the ranch and they discover Kelsey's submissive side. Devin and Greg share their submissives as they are Dominants. This is a sexy, steamy, suspenseful ride you don't want to miss.

This was definitely one of the better books in the series thus far. It was hotter, that's for sure. But I also enjoyed the dynamic between Kelsey, Greg and Devin. Greg was the easy-going one, Devin was the broody one and Kelsey was sassy, yet insecure and vulnerable. They certainly made quite the throuple. I wasn't the biggest fan of Devin at first because he was pretty mean at times to Kelsey, but he comes around soon enough. I did find it weird that by the end of the book, there are no 'I love you's' exchanged, just them deciding to live together. That was a bit disappointing. I guess that could be considered a commitment, but it just seemed too tentative for me.

The bad guys were handled a bit too quickly for my liking. Such a big deal was made about Kelsey's safety and then it was all over in a matter of a minutes. That was disappointing.

I wish the previous characters made more appearances in the book like they did in previous books. We only saw them mentioned briefly, but at least we got an update for what's going on with some of the couples.

One pet peeve of mine in this book was the author's continued and nauseating use of "the girls and the slutty b*tch" in reference to Kelsey's lady parts. I just wanted to make a Madea meme with the "say ... one more time" line because it was overkill in this book. The first time, okay, a bit odd but funny. The hundredth time, get a dictionary and find other words to use because it's no longer funny or original.

Greg and Devin took early retirement from the FBI after their last assignment ended less than perfect. That's when they moved to Montana, bought the ranch, started The Wild Horses Dude Ranch and their new life. Things were going well until their former boss from the bureau called and wanted a favor. Greg knew he had no problem but Devin wanted no part of it. He couldn't get over what happened last time. Kelsey couldn't figure out what the big deal was. She was a nobody! She didn't need to leave Philadelphia and all the way to Montana but she loved her foster parents and felt like she owed them so much for always being there for her when no one else was, so she went. She couldn't wait to go back home though. B. J. Wane has added so much mystery and intrigue with this storyline in her "Cowboy Doms" series. I loved the way there was a continual push and pull between these three and the fact Kelsey was no shrinking violet, on the outside, only added to the underlying chemistry that was building. Of course, we get to go back to The Barn and see characters we've all come to know and love to catch up with what's new and get a few surprises there as well. 'Submitting to the Cattleman' is next and as soon as I finish hitting the post button for this review, I intend to start on that one. What a great story for an exhilarating series!!

Could have used at least 2 more chapters at the end.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was hot hot hot, and the chemistry between Kelsey, Devon and Greg was unreal. There were just a few things that bothered me, hence the 4 star rating.

First, if I never read the words “the girls and the slutty b*tch” again it will be too soon! It was clever and funny the first time the author used it as a reference to Kelsey’s lady-bits, but it quickly became old. If anyone is looking for a good drinking game, take a shot of tequila every time you see “the girls and the slutty b*tch”.... by the end of this book you’ll be EIGHT shots in and drunk as a skunk!

Second, I thought the ending was kind of anticlimactic. After setting up the fact that someone was after Kelsey from the very beginning of the book, one would expect the takedown of the bad guy to have some excitement, some drama, or at the very least to last more than just a few paragraphs! But no... that whole scene was almost like an after thought, lasting just a few paragraphs. Then after that, I felt like the author just rushed the book to an ending. There weren’t even any “I love you’s”! I feel like if there were a couple of more chapters at the end, it wouldn’t have felt so rushed.

Despite those issues, it was still an entertaining and wonderfully smutty read!

I just love the hot n sexy Cowboy Dom Series!!! Even with the cheesy Newyork acct of the heroine in this one….😂😂
I was a little surprised some of the sex was kind of skimmed over towards the end like B.J. Wane just wanted to finish the story, but it is a lot of sexy in these books so I guess I understand…🙄🤷🏽‍♀️I just hate when an author does that, it’s lazy or it shows they ran out of time or passion for the series. Anyway, it was definitely still a great and very sexy read so…..👍🏾👍🏾

This is Greg and Devons tale of finding their one and only and it’s not so bad. They’re both hot, sweet, sexy, but Devon is more stern than Greg, and that shows in his personality. Still, they both come to care for and crave the saucy and curious Ms. Kelsey as she tempts, challenges, and frustrates these two Cowboys as the story unfolds, which if you’ve read B.J. Wane before, you know you’re in for one hell of a story. I still love Nan and Dans story the most, “Submitting to the Lawyer,” yet the rest of the series does not disappoint at all. 😍🥰

Thanks again for the narration Natalie Bradshaw, great job!👏🏾👏🏾

Double Protection

I really liked this story. I have a bit of a thing about mengè, it seems very exciting and fun, add in BDSM and oh my off the charts but often its difficult to believe the stories could happen in reality. Not with BJ Wane who often has multiple Doms playing with Subs even if its a committed couple. In this story the girl is quite a strong character in some ways after all she literally killed her attacker in a BDSM club which sends her into the protective care of the two Dude Ranch Doms. The amount of time and interaction with the club is kinda limited in this book, but its a bit fun when they do go as she is not really well behaved. I liked this Submissive she was very fun and not all that inclined to obey... she really liked most punishments and Funny thing when they denied her orgasms she didn't really know it was a punishment so not sure it really worked to discourage her much. Great story.

This was a solid story!

I really liked all three main characters here; I was a bit nervous I would dislike the h if she was gonna be all "judgemental city girl in the wilderness", but thankfully that wasn't the case. I was also pleasantly surprised how well their relationship was developed, considering this was a novel on the shorter side (by the way, why does the page count on goodreads say 232 while on Kindle its only 174 pages? That annoys me a little)

The reason I couldn't give this five stars was mostly personal, and I think others might not have a problem with this: the writing style/choice of words, especially during the spicy scenes, were really not my thing. I'd be happy if I never have to read about "turgid nipples" again. I also didn't really enjoy how the h called her vagina (sometimes in her head, other times out loud!) a "slutty bitch" or talked to her nipples, I found that super cringey

But if you can overlook that it's a cute story

To my delight, the series gets better as you get deeper into it. Greg and Devin are a dynamic that fascinated me from the moment I first read them. Their charming and engaging manner hides some deep emotional pain, that explained very clearly why they were resisting so hard the temptation Kelsey represented. Kelsey, herself, is a spitfire, and a bit of brat, to boot. I liked that she was so sassy, I just didn’t always like the way she expressed that sassiness. This story held my attention all the way through. The suspense kept me glued to my reader to find out what would happen next. The ending felt a little rushed, but since the tension gave the story the feeling of a slightly frenetic pace, it worked.

I have been waiting for this book in the series just from looking at the book cover. I have a thing for reading every menage' I can get my hand on and this one lived up to the cover and more! Kelsey lived close to her foster parents until she assaulted. Her foster parents are FBI and they call to Ex-FBI agents Greg and Devin, both of who have sworn to never do them and the bureau any favors ever again. Not after being let go short of retirement. BUT Greg decides for them that they will allow their foster to come out of their dude ranch and so she comes out. She doesn't want to be there any more than Devin wants her there. BUT as time moves on things change to show Devin and Kelsey that not all is as it appears.

When an assignment go so wrong it causes you to walk away from your career 5 years shy of retirement, that's pretty bad. Yet, that's just what Greg and Devin do. Now they're successful dude ranch owners and immersed in running their business. So when they're asked to once again protect a woman one of them is not at all happy and refuses to have anything to do with her. Being shuffled off to the middle of nowhere Montana, Kelsey is not a happy camper. The fact that she has two gorgeous cowboy protectors who make her tingle all over yet are strictly business with her does make her any happier. She sets out to get what she wants by pushing every one of their buttons and it's far more than she ever bargained for....be careful what you wish for you just might get it as the old saying goes.

Kelsey and her 2 Doms

Terror struck Kelsey throughout her life after she was shifted around foster homes before landing with permanent couples who wanted to protect her from threats. Last threat had them sending her off to Montana under the care of Greg and Devin, their trusted exFBI agents turned cowboys/Doms, until then can neutralise the threat to Kelsey.

This book draws you in from beginning to end with anticipation and angst as well as good sexual attractions and activities. I give this story 5 cups of piping hot java, ☕☕☕☕☕. Absolute 5 cups of scalding java for the entire series, ☕☕☕☕☕!

A Fish Out of Water (And in Danger)

Kelsey is such a brat! She complicates the spectrum of “submissive” that this reader has encountered in subgenre. Being sent to hide out with two former federal agents knocks her for a loop; same for the agents-turned ranchers who take on her protection. All three are given opportunities to grow, and be imperfect, across the story. The amount of times folks referred to Kelsey’s small size and white hair got old and creepy enough to generate empathy for small-stature women who want to be taken seriously. The suspense is well done, with the villain used effectively across the plot’s timeline to create rising tension and raise the stakes.

Timelines

After eagerly awaiting this story, I have to admit some disappointment with it. Although the storyline seemed somewhat unique to the series, it was predictable. No surprises. Except . . . The lack of continuity in the storyline. The timelines were all over the place. I got whiplash trying to figure them out. Frustration ruled in that regard. Fortunately, in spite of it's predictability, the storyline almost made up for the lack of continuity and had me reading to the end.

Too emotionless

I just couldn't like Kelsey's character. She was too brash for my liking and just did not react in a genuine fashion to her new experiences. Her constant repetitious thoughts irritated me until I felt like screaming ... 'How many times will the author write that?'
Greg and Devon were too clinical for my tastes, approaching everything in an emotionless manner.
I prefer a modicum of romance filtered through a story, but there is none here.

There was so much action and not just in the sack! What this poor girl went through, how welcoming everyone was, with suspenseful hints here and there, this was a roller coaster of emotion! Honestly, I love these books more so for the mystery and suspense but throwing two sexy dominant men in there and WOW!! Thank you! I read this the first time about two years ago and I still love it! Not an easily forgotten story! Incredible!

I’m loving this series of books. This one is about a young woman sent to Montana to hide away from people who are after her. She meets two Doms ex FBI agents, who agree to protect her while she is there. Let’s just say their protection leads to some interesting interactions. Loved it, just one more to read, hoping there will be others.

It seems to me that the women in this series are damaged and the men are the ones who will get them through their issues by being dominating. Which to me is a bit off. Personally, I don't think the "doms" in this story should have been anywhere near this girl and she was a girl not a woman. It was just badly written.

Kelsey, Greg & Devin

These two cowboys like to share a submissive, sometimes together other times just by themselves. They have been friends for a long time and partners in the FBI. No, they don't have a thing for each other.. only women!! She's been sent to their ranch to get her out of town & possible danger until her foster parents can see if the danger is real.
