Just a little reminder on an Einstein quote (I so love his quotes !) He says, "Life is like riding a bicycle, to keep your balance you must keep moving." Although I do tend to agree with you Anna sometimes its nice to just be....

I think our lives are too full of movement and stopping and resting every now and then is good for us. Before kids Hubby and I would spend a day just laying around in bed sleeping every month or so. Our lives were hectic and we just stopped and ignored the world for the day. Around 20 or so years ago I spent a lot of time in my bed. The kids used to take over the lounge room playing video games and I would lay on my bed and read because there was nowhere else comfy to sit and the music from Legend of Zelda became mind numbing.
Now, every morning, Hubby and I sit in bed and drink tea (3-4 cups over a couple of hours) and have breakfast before the day begins. When he was working we would still do the same thing but we had to fit 3 cups into 45 minutes. Now he’s retired it’s one every 30. He used to get up later but rush one cup of tea and maybe some toast as he was running out the door and on weekends we’d have the extras. Then I got him up earlier so he could have more time and he was much more relaxed going into his day.
I was intending on making The Once and Future Witches by Alix E Harrow my last book for 2020 but it’s going to be my first book for 2021 since it’s already the 1st here. Not going to be finished today either I’m guessing. I have lots of good intentions but I think I have to do other stuff first. Happy New Year peoples 🥳 🎉🎊🎊🥂🎆
I have a BR with an online friend coming up in a couple of days, so I'm just goofing off with trivial stuff like manga until then.Happy New Year! Let's hope 2021 is slightly less wretched. :|
Happy new year, everyone!🥂🥳 🎊🎆(And good-bye, 2020 threads!)
Just finished Aurora Burning which was way more fun than I had anticipated.
I know what I'm starting the year with!Nalo! <3
edit: Hmm, probably should've waited until tomorrow to post in the new thread, but I can repost! Never too much Nalove.
edit2: what the heck does ”shouldve waiting” mean?! Get it together typo lady, it’s a new year, no typos allowed!

Requires a bit of 'rally English' to maneuver, perhaps, but I see you :D
(I have to vent, since I've never got to: this reminded me of this one 'clever' Turku/Åbo local smoking store name: "Åbong"; how the hell do you pronounce either "Åbo" or "bong" to arrive at that? Surprisingly annoying going by it almost daily).
Anyway. Happy New Year, everyone 🥂💖
Unlike previous years, I find I have not thought at all what I should start the new year with. Gonna have to be careful though, so as not the get stuck with that on top of my 2021 "year in books" page. Hmm...
Merry New Year my dearest book friends!
i no fuck all about bongs or Abo, but I do know, I'm gonna still be exercising my eyeballs with Palace Job
