Series finale's so I can finally get reading the series
Series I broke my 'only read when complete' rule for
Originally a standalone
I LOVED book 1 it was a 5 star read for meCompleted series I'm interested in reading this year (subject to mood!)
currently reading
first gen only
Completed series I hope to finish this year AKA the series that taught me not to read incomplete serieses!
Universe (excluding Ian's books)
And these are just the SFF (series) ones! When I consider all the other genres and all the standalones... who knows which ones will end up on my actual 'read' list in the end!
I'm all sick and a jumbled mess and whatnot. I'll come back through when I've got my head on right. I'm excited about this year!
I'm first looking forward to seeing my brother who I haven't seen in a year! He lives in Florida and I live in California. I then look forward to my 5th great grandchild (a girl) being born on January 23 and then my 21st grandchild being born in March (a boy due March 18) so I'll have 11 grandsons, 10 granddaughters, 3 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters and SO MUCH MORE!!!

How are you liking Nevernight?

Vicki wrote: "I'm first looking forward to seeing my brother who I haven't seen in a year! He lives in Florida and I live in California. I then look forward to my 5th great grandchild (a girl) being born on Janu..."Wow, Vicki! That's wonderful!! Such a big family. Congratulations!
Get better soon Holly! And Steph, well so far I'm blown away. I'm down book 1 and 2 as I just haven't been able to put them down and now I'm kinda like.. say whaaaaaat? from the end of Godsgrave. Explosive is putting it mildly.
But I do have to say that one of my niggles is about the footnotes. They are a pain because there's so many of them and some of them are long (like half a page). I wish he had incorporated that stuff into the main text, perhaps then I would have been able to read the books like usual by buying them and reading them on my kobo. (Thank heaven my library is so good with new purchase requests).
Also, the author does like 💩talk lol which is kind of yukky to me - I'm so easily grossed out 🤢 🤮🤢 !
LOL! Glad you're liking them!Yeah, that does get a bit tiresome sometimes. I bought and read them on my kindle and they showed up fine. You clicked on the footnote # and the text was there. Sorry it didn't work for you.
😆 !!

I didn't try tbh, didn't want to get caught up in all the back & forth when I saw how long some of them were.

@JustMel, I love moving. Like, the feeling of transplanting my life between one place and the next. It's exhilarating for me and I hope it is for you, too! Thanks for the well-wishing, you guys! With any luck, I've just knocked out my 2020-Holly-got-sick moment I'm allowed to have. Haha!
@Vicki, that sounds like a southern family to me. And all I can think of when I think of that much family together, is food. I bet you guys know how to put on a shindig!
@kittykat, I'd really love to know what these series are like when you get to them:
I just bought book 1 of the first series and I've read Libba Bray's A Great and Terrible Beauty and quite liked it.
I'm definitely looking forward to reading these next-in-series:
I'm looking at this first-in-series:
I had no idea Kelley Armstrong was writing more in the Otherworld universe, still. I'm re-reading Dead Witch Walking this year, so maybe I'll do the Otherworld next year along with the new content? Hmmm...

Wow, Seanan McGuire is having a busy year! She started with
, has an InCryptid out in Feb and an October Daye in Sept... and who knows what as Mira Grant! And I can't believe I'm saying this, but that new SJM may possibly end up on my TBR at some point...!
Seanan McGuire has to be one of those people that was meant to share her stories with us. I mean, don't even go down the rabbit-hole of her short stories she releases almost monthly. That woman is an idea-machine!Yeah, SJM has become a new "must-buy" author for me. I didn't even notice it happen. I started with ACoTaR and switched over to ToG and then back to the first series and by the time I woke up and realized I was still in the "real" world, I was shell-shocked.
SO good. I don't blame you.

Can you believe it's the beginning of not only a new year, but a new decade? I can't, but this is one of my favorite times of the year. Why? Because I've got a bit of an OCDemon and she enjoys new lists, new calendars, new dreams and goals for the new year. :D
So, in keeping with that idea, what are you looking forward to in 2020? Books, movies, tv, travels, etc.
I'll have to look at my to-watch list, but my 'gimme-gimme' list of books includes:
(Ashfall #4) Blades of Spring by Mike Mullin
(Downside #6) Unholy Luck by Stacia Kane
(Ordinary Magic #5) Untitled by Devon Monk
(Hunter #4, Thieves #10) STEALING SUMMER by Lexi Blake
(Iron Covenant #2) Untitled by Ilona Andrews
(Dark in You #6) Untitled by Suzanne Wright
(Soulwood #5) Spells for the Dead by Faith Hunter
