Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Unbreak My Heart (Fostering Love, #1) by Nicole Jacquelyn was a 3 star read for me. I'm all for an asshole hero, but this guy was unnecessarily cruel and clueless. And she should have had "wipe your shoes here" written on her forehead.

100% agree. I think I was really kind when I read it originally because I didn't want to be odd man out so I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt...but no.

We're all reading independently so it shouldn't be an issue. Good to have you!

Marta She really is but I started Reckless by Lex Martin and i am loving it ;)

The Guy on the Left (The Underdogs, #2) by Kate Stewart about this one is so great to read good things because in the last book Troy didn't make a great impression.

IKR! and this one takes place simultaneously with book 1, but obviously from Troy's side...I wish I could remember more details about from book 1...i hope you fall in love with Troy too ;)

Denise | 45 comments I Finished my Book which ended up being a duet.
The Brightest Sunset #1 & The Darkest Sunrise #2 by Aly Martinez.
I ABSOLUTELY Loved this duet. Not at All what I was expecting. Lots & Lots of Feels! Such an Amazing Unputdownable Duet that I Didn't Want it to end. I Definitely Recommend this Duet. I Have Loved Everything I've Read From Her. So Much So My Last 5 Books were Hers!!

Marta Just finished Reckless by Lex Martin
I liked it, Ethan is a great dad with his two kids and Tori being the nanny is by far more compassionate with the kids than their mother.
We have some insecutities and self-doubting thoughts and the drama with the ex.
But i think my main problem was that Tori was portrayed like a firecracker in the beginning (which was a great thing) and during the book was like she was soft after all... the firecracker personality completely forgotten.

diann bryan | 179 comments Loved that story 🥰

message 136: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Okay, so was it Leslie who warned me of the slow burn in Until it Fades?? Because, dammmmm!!!! It wasn't just slow, it was excruciatingly slllllooooooowwwwww!!!! The painfully drawn out romance prevented me from finishing this book as fast as I would have liked especially since I loved the premise and loved the ties to Philadelphia/Philadelphia Flyers NHL Team. Because of those ties, and the love I had for the characters (including Brenna), I am torn between a 3 and 4 star rating.....

(And I was so anxious to start my PFM challenge (When Ashes Fall) which I will comment on now on the other thread.....

Yup...it was me except that I liked it! I have hard time with slow burn (as I am very easily bored) but something about this story kept me interested. Sorry you didn't love it.

Jean | 1658 comments Not that I didn't love it Leslie, I just struggled to get to the end. I did really LIKE it though! LOL! And did not see the little twist regarding (view spoiler).

I agree with Leslie. Super slow burn but I really liked it too. I think it helped that I read it before The Simple Wild though!
