Not yet. For some reason I thought the buddy read was starting on the 13th.

I am wrapping up the Eye of the world. I have around 200 pages left I think. I will be here as soon as I finish.

I've started, but will probably read slowly due to trying to read too many books at the same time xD

Up to chapter 8: the world is pretty interesting. I love the idea of living books :D
(view spoiler)[So far, it seems we have the classic 'MC is an orphan with an unusual ability' as well the 'misunderstanding/wrongfully accused by the authority' tropes going on.

Elizabeth is lovable though, and shows willingness to reconsider her worldview and adapt. (hide spoiler)]

I'm about half way through it. It started off pretty interesting. I loved the living books and the librarians who protect the world from the books, and vice versa. But it's fallen into some predictable tropes and has lost some of my interest. Still reading in hopes that it picks back up.

I was tired and only finished the first chapter. I'm enjoying the concept so far. Let's see where it goes.

I'm also through Ch 8. So far, so good. No real comments. It seems fairly straight forward.

Finished tonight. I really don't have much to say. Felt pretty eh. Nothing about this book really stood out to me. Kinda a been there, done that feeling.

I finished as well. I'm not sure what to think of this book. I enjoyed it a lot despite it being very predictable. I think I just needed an easy/light read... Definitely in the "guilty pleasure" category :p

I'm at 50% aka starting Ch 21. So far this is a nice, lite read. Now that I've had some time to devote to it, the book is going quick. (view spoiler)[I'm kind of surprised there isn't an Elizabeth/Nathan romance yet, though it seems like it might be trending that way.

I think my favorite character is Silas. We'll see if he ends up more "demonic" or not by the end. (hide spoiler)]

I finished this and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it was delightfully fun and heartbreaking as well. That ending! It made me want more, but I also liked the way it ended. It might have been a bit predictable but I had a hard time putting it down. I loved Elisabeth, Nathaniel, Silas, Katrien, and all the grimoires.

That was fast Tammie! On the contrary, I am only starting now. Hopefully I will have more time tonight as I am only in chapter 2 at the moment.

I finished earlier this week too. Also quite enjoyed it. Like Tammie said, even if it did have several familiar tropes, I ended up caught up in the story. Silas is easily my favorite character.

I hoped for a 4-star read but in the end, I think I will settle for 3. Not bad but not above the average. The parts about books and libraries were the best. Silas was glorious but also slightly annoying in terms of the design. An omnipotent paranormal nanny in essence.
