I'm totally gobsmacked by Tara Westover's memoir, Educated. Hard to believe this happens in the modern world. Sorry for the long review with many quotes...5★s

Oh no, haven’t read your review and perhaps I better wait till I get to it myself. Usually one of my fav authors.
Still, I’m struggling with Ruth Ware’s new one and I love her too. Trying to decide if I go on or not.....FOMO, might have to skim a bit but at least I don’t have to review🤔

Stephanie Wood, an Australian investigative journalist has written a brave and heart wrenching account of her relationship with a man she dated for more than a year before finding out his entire life was built on fantasy. It makes for fascinating reading as she recounts her experience and then goes on to research why men like this feel the need to cheat and fabricate.

Fans of Mick Herron's Slough House series should make sure they read Reconstruction, which has enough of the familiar characters (but not Jackson Lamb) to act as a sort of prequel. Anna Bentinck's reading is excellent.5★s

American author, Aimee Bender's third novel, The Butterfly Lampshade might be a tiny bit strange (in a good way) but I really enjoyed it and I'm pleased that I have another of hers tucked away in my enormous TBR.5★s

I was looking forward to reading this children's edition of The Nutcracker by words&pictures during the Christmas season, but I was disappointed. Colourful but confusing (to me).

I absolutely love What Can You Do With a Line?, that makes my fingers itchy to try drawing! It would be a great Christmas (or other) gift, along with some pencils. Perfect pressie!
