Carolyn | 9840 comments After really enjoying the first book in Simon McCleave's Snowdonia crime series I was disappointed with the second book The Harlech Beach Killings (DI Ruth Hunter #2) by Simon McCleave The Harlech Beach Killings.
I'm hoping that book #3 will be better!

Carolyn | 9840 comments Eight Detectives by Alex Pavesi Eight Detectives by Alex Pavesi was an unusual read in that I didn't totally enjoy or appreciate the cleverness of the book until I got to the end.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments The Liar's Dictionary by British author, Eley Williams is my second "dictionary" novel this year, and while it was an enjoyable read, it didn't reach the heights of The Dictionary of Lost Words, coincidentally by another Williams, Pip Williams.
4★s

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I really enjoyed having one of my favourite romcoms, The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion, read to me in a Aussie accent by Dan O'Grady. And thanks to Wollongong City Libraries and Borrowbox, I can get him to read me the next two Don Tillman books as well.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments My first Ann Cleeves book was the terrific The Darkest Evening, #9 in the "Vera Stanhope" series. I know and love Vera from television and am now a fan of her original self, albeit a little late.
