Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Sandi Wallace fans will want to snap up her second book of short stories when it comes out next week.
Murder in the Midst is eight marvellous little bites of this talented author’s work, eight strong female protagonists, eight powerful little tales.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Even little doses of Alexander McCall Smith are a delight, even moreso when read in a lovely Scots accent by Karlyn Stephen. At the Reunion Buffet is no exception.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I'm never disappointed when I get to read a book by that talented duo, Nicci French, but with House of Correction, it kept me guessing but it also has the most entertaining courtroom scenes I have come across in a long time.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments This was a most delightful change of pace from reading thrillers during a pandemic. The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune is Peter Pan in 1984. Both worrying and charming. Absolutely loved it!

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments British author Matson Taylor's debut novel, The Miseducation of Evie Epworth is a fun read: lots of 1960's nostalgia and a plucky sixteen-year-old protagonist.

Started The Culture series, this one didn't blow me away but it set the scene for the following books. This is supposed to be one of the best sci-fi series ever written - so I'm determined to read more!
