Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I do love Sebastian Barry's prose so I find it hard to limit the quotes, hence the rather long review (not sorry!). I loved this sequel to Days Without End , A Thousand Moons 5★s worth.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments Peace Like a River by Leif Enger appealed to me on every level. I've got a soft spot for a child's point of view, and when there's humour and terror and adventure and tragedy and romance all mixed with a hint of magic, what more could I want?

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I've never been disappointed with a book by Gilly Macmillan yet, and her new one, To Tell You the Truth is no exception. Brilliantly plotted, this one kept me guessing right up to the final chapters. Out 25th June (UK), 22nd Sept (US).

Carolyn | 9840 comments This is a non-fiction account of Noor Inayat Khan, a young Indian/French spy sent into Paris by the British SOE, as an radio operator in 1943. Raised as a Sufi she was one of their most unusual agents.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I do look forward to a regular dose of Tempe Brennan and her cohorts (starting to like Skinny Slidell quite a bit), and while the 19th installment, A Conspiracy of Bones by Kathy Reichs is well-filleted, there is still plenty to intrigue.
