Ahh good question Marianne. And I completely agree with you - how on earth did that slip past the editors?? Or even be written by the author herself!

I was out walking when I got to that part, I was grateful I had sunglasses on as I had tears streaming down my face.

Jeanette | 400 comments Suitcase of Dreams (The Girl from Munich #2) by Tania Blanchard

3 stars. I liked the first book but not overly impressed with this one, editing?. I had an Aunt who worked as a supervisor in Migration camps so l already had some knowledge of conditions, very difficult. Most from this time did very well and in time enjoyed their improved lives. My mother's wedding dress was used many times by migrant brides and is now held at Ryde (NSW) Historical Society.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments While I have read most of Ber Carroll's books, I haven't read any by her writing as B.M. Carroll until now. (I will have to remedy that) Who We Were is a brilliant read that starts with a school reunion. The characters and their situations are realistic and it kept me guessing right up to the last chapters.
