Yeah, that's true. It was obvious from the get go if you were really paying attention to their behaviour once the whole thing started. But I think I liked this one more. It felt a bit more high stakes to me.

I'm sad that Nate and Bronwyn did not have a happy ever after but it feels realistic given their age and the distance between them, now she has gone to Yale. Not that young relationships or long distance ones can't last, of course.

The new Truth or Dare app sounds ominous but I'm very intrigued about it. It has already revealed one disastrous truth and I can't imagine the dares being any more pleasant. (hide spoiler)]

Second quarter - (view spoiler)[I am enjoying this, but keep confusing who the characters are as well as what their relationships with each other are. I think as the first book started with a small cast in an isolated setting it made it far easier to navigate. Here, I am still figuring out more people in a dispersed environment, as well as how they know the previous cast.

Maeve is one of my favourites, so far. It seems like her cancer has returned, which was so horrifically sad to read about. I understand she is protecting her family, but I hope she opens up to them about her predictions soon.

The truths and dares have begun. The dares seem tame but the truths are causing rifts in friendships and both in-school and online bullying. (hide spoiler)]

Fourth quarter - (view spoiler)[The ending was so high stakes and action-packed! I wondered why Emma seemed to be spiralling and drinking so much and I had my vague suspicions about her. As soon as Phoebe discovered Emma knew her secret and it wasn't really revealed during the Truth or Dare game I knew she was the one involved in both the game and Brandon's death. I never anticipated that she opted out and it was their own brother who pretended to be Emma who was pretending to be Phoebe (that sounds confusing!) after it. It made for a super twisted and clever conclusion. (hide spoiler)]

A few chapters ago, Maeve was saying that she might not be alive 6 months from now... because of a (likely) relapse of cancer.

And now Knox almost died...just like that! 💔 Life is impredictable that way! I hope Knox is okay... I kind of like him, as a character...

Wonder when Maeve is gonna go to the doctor, though. I know she absolutely doesn't want to be sick and start painful treatments all over again, but the signs are there! And waiting will only make the cancer progress and be harder to get rid off... (hide spoiler)]
