I don't know if you do the advanced version but I read Under the Dome for A book by an author who has written more than 20 books. It has a three word title, so do a few of the other books you listed.
Maybe you could even use Under the Dome for the deadly sin one. Some of the characters are quite greedy or prideful

You could use Asking For It for a book involving social media, three word title or one of the seven deadly sins (it's a tough book to read so make sure you're in a good frame of mind when you start it). At a squeeze you could say it was written in her 20s (I think she turned 30 the year it came out) or you could find a blog/vlog/etc that recommended it as it had a lot of praise.

A Quiet Kind of Thunder is adorable! You could use it for pink cover or 4+ rating, maybe the title caught your attention.

The Sun is Also a Star is by a WOC.

The Sun Is Also A Star has over 4/5 rating
Under The Dome is by an author who has written over 20 books and I think it has a map as well
The Realm of Possibility is a title with more than 20 letters

I haven't checked, but I'm pretty confident that [book:A Quiet Kind of Thunder
passes the Bechdel test - there are lots of named female characters in Sara Barnard's books and they talk together often.

Are you reading this edition? The Paper Wasp by Lauren Acampora
If so it could be used for 'book with a pink cover'.
It sounds from the description like it might meet the Bechdel test, and there might be some envy between the two friends, which is one of the seven deadly sins.

Depending on the edition you have, it has a bird on the cover. The book has more than a four star rating. Jennifer Niven is also a journalist! I hope this helps.

Have fun reading, I loved that book so much!

I ended up using it for "Book with a bird on the cover", but some of these prompts are way harder to check so I think I'll change it. Thank you!

It's over 4 stars so you can cross that off your list.

I've used it for: bird on the cover!

Thanks for that! And good timing - I was actually just coming to share some other options, now that I've read Radicalized and Small Game Hunting at the Local Coward Gun Club, but I had missed that one for Radicalized. I don't know if I'm going to use it though, I have The Nightingale from the library, so I'm going to do the group read.

I think I will useRadicalized for the seven deadly sins prompt. All of the novellas could stand as examples for multiple sins, but there are strong elements of Greed, Pride, Wrath and Gluttony throughout.

Since it's four novellas, if anyone is okay with using it if only one of the novellas qualifies, Unauthorized Bread's main character is in her twenties, and it's a great example of passing the Bechdel test - there are multiple conversations between two women not about men. And Internet message boards are a key component of the Radicalized novella, if that counts for social messaging.

And for Small Game Hunting at the Local Coward Gun Club, both Olive and Iris are also in their 20s, so it could also be used for that prompt, as well as seven deadly sins - particularly lust, wrath, gluttony.

(Although does wrath count as a deadly sin if the anger is justified? Or is it only when it's not or out of proportion that it becomes sinful?)

Thanks for those ideas - I have been struggling for a spot for Radicalized if I ever manage to read it (I'm still on my first Canada Reads book, From the Ashes, so I need to get reading if I'm going to be done before the voting). But also I am always wanting to "save" prompts for the million books I want to read and I hoard them lol - like the deadly sins prompt since there might be another book I want to slot in. But at some point I just have to use them!

Small Game Hunting at the Local Coward Gun Club was published in my birthday month, so I am good for that one.

Thanks for the ideas.

I know the dilemma of figuring out which prompt to use something for when all the slots it could fit in are already planned! I'm thinking next year, I'm going to try not to plan since all my slots have been rearranged multiple times already.

Your best option is probably "A book by a WOC". I have a December birthday, so I used this for "A book published the month of your birthday". If you're doing the advanced prompts, it fits for "A book with a main character in their 20s"

I read it too. Ticked of the "won an award in 2019" for that one. Wikipedia lists a couple of awards, at least 3 of which are from 2019.
It has 4 stars on goodreads, and I think somewhere in the book she mentions being in her late twenties while she wrote it, but I'm not sure about that one

I'm pretty sure most of the characters were in their 20s, a lot of it is set in LA (hosted the Olympics) and I think it won at least a Goodread's choice award last year. Not sure about any other awards.

Seven deadly sins would work for Red Rising. I feel like it had a map in it too but I'm not 100% on that one.

[book:Red Rising
definitely has a map in the front. It also has a bird wing on the cover, don't know if you would count that as a book with a bird on the cover. That said I did love the book so I'm excited for you to read it.

I just read The Light We Lost, too, and am wondering the same thing. I could probably place it under "a book by or about a journalist" since Gabe was a photo journalist...OH! it was published in May, my birthday month.

I think Evelyn Hugo has a journalist in the book.
Room has a cover with no images
Ivan Isaenko looks like there are books on the cover

Hope that helps!

Yes, Evelyn Hugo is, in fact, the group's choice for "a book with a journalist"! The main character is a journalist interviewing Evelyn Hugo.

I haven't read any of the others on your list so I can't guess.

You can use this for author in their twenties, she was born in 1991. I think the dragon on the cover is upside down. Definitely passes the Blechdel test. The book flips through 4 different characters perspectives. If memory serves 2 are in their twenties and one is a queen so that’s a world leader. It’s also got more than twenties letters in the title.
