I have BRs planned for a few of them!

And welcome to the team, Jenn!
Thank you Klancy! I may join you guys for the BR of A Heart so Fierce and Broken. I am so excited for that one!

I'm with you 100%. That title and cover <3

I loved it too. I'm excited to read book two. I'm excited to get these books read

I might join the BR for A Heart so Fierce and Broken if I can manage to get it in time :D

Oh my gosh that's perfect 😂You should totally read it while drinking a glass of champagne
@Claire - Yesss, join us! We can all gush over it together!

@mars - No worries! Feel free to chat with us :)
Also, I'm going to try and challenge myself to finish

I slumped the last two months, the Christmas holidays got the better of me. Starting

The holidays are always so hard to find time to read. You’ll have to let me know what you think of the GBR!

Totally understandable. Nobody wants to start off the New Year with a book they're not excited about reading

Update: I just claimed H for now. We can move it later if we need to

I’m thinking maybe I should read regretting you by Colleen Hoover as I need something to get me out of my slump! I’ll check if there is a buddy happening for it.

Yeah, I read it last week. 😅
I still need to read some of her earlier books. I started Slammed but for some reason I never finished it.

Sounds good Shae! I miss our br’s!

Yes, I did! It Ends With Us is still favorite though.
It was like a 4.5 star for me, but I rounded up. 🤷🏻♀️

@ Jacquelyn - What's your most anticipated thriller? :)

Jenn✔︎Shae✔︎Claire✔︎Susan✔︎Jacquelyn✔︎Klancy✔︎Brittani✔︎Hey, everyone!! I posted how the challenge works below just so we don't have to keep going back and forth between here and the rules thread.
How it works:
For this challenge, we are hoping to help you make a good start to your New Years Resolutions! You may read books of your own choice, but if you would like to earn some bonus points, you can use your books to spell out 'Happy New Year' ☺
To spell out 'Happy New Year' you must do the following -
* Read your book, and write your review.
* You may then choose one letter from your book to count towards 'Happy New Year'.
* For this challenge, you may choose any letter from your book's title, series name, author name, and you can even use the word 'by', as in 'Legend (Legend #1) by Marie Lu', could be used for 'Y' (so basically any book can be used for 'Y')
* You may also choose to use a different edition of a book, with a different title in order to use a different letter, so again, for Legend (Legend #1) by Marie Lu, you could choose to use this edition - Fallender Himmel to count for 'H'. (Titles must be made up of English letters.)
So:
- 1 letter per book.
- You may use any letter from your chosen book's title, series name, author name, 'by', or title of an alternate edition.
- Alternate titles must be made up of English letters, although we will accept titles with accents over words such as á, é, í, ó, ú.
- '&' may be used as 'and'.
- Numbers in titles can be used, but are spelled out, so '1001' would be 'one zero zero one', '20' would be 'two zero'.
- You can only claim letters which appear in 'Happy New Year', so H, A, P, Y, N, E, W, R.
- You can only claim 1 letter per book, so if you use your book to claim the letter P, that will only fill in 1 P on your team's board, not both of them.
- For this challenge you may use words which occur after punctuation in a title, including after a colon ':'
- You may also use author's names, or the names of any editors, translators, narrators or illustrators.
- Bonus points will be awarded each time a letter is claimed.
- Letters can be claimed in any order.
- Bonus points will be awarded each time 'Happy New Year' is completed. - Please note these bonus points are added to team totals only.
