Glad to hear it Heather! I've been waiting on my copy from the library but whenever its ready I have too many things lined up. Might just have to use a credit on the audio if its that good :)

message 257: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments Definitely worth the credit Brittany! I read with 5 other gals and 4 of us did audio and all loved the narration!

message 258: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments Finished The Unbound (The Archived, #2) by Victoria Schwab which makes another series completed (as far as what has been published anyways)!

message 259: by Liliana, YA Paranormal Lover (new)

Liliana (lililostinabook) | 2893 comments Mod
Nice job! it's always satisfying when you knock a series off the list!

message 260: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments Finished The Upside of Unrequited (Simonverse #2) by Becky Albertalli which was sweet! And also book #100 for the year!

message 261: by Liliana, YA Paranormal Lover (new)

Liliana (lililostinabook) | 2893 comments Mod
That's awesome Heather! We're not even through with half the year!

message 262: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments I'm super excited for this number!

message 263: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6454 comments Mod
Wow Heather! That's an insane number already. Awesome :)

And good to know its worth the credit!

message 264: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments Finished Sold by Patricia McCormick and it was such a powerful and painful story to read.

message 265: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments Finished The Final Empire (Mistborn, #1) by Brandon Sanderson and was once again blown away by Sanderson's incredible writing!

message 266: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments I've finished Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid and More Than We Can Tell (Letters to the Lost, #2) by Brigid Kemmerer this past week and really loved them both! More than We Can Tell also finished another series for me!

Working on wrapping up Gods of Howl Mountain by Taylor Brown Circe by Madeline Miller Mabel Jones and the Doomsday Book by Will Mabbitt and The Ringmaster's Daughter by Carly Schabowski to wrap up this month.

I found an app called Serial Reader that sends you a snippet of classics a day at a time until you finish. Started The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain with that. Last night was the first episode, took about ten minutes to read, and there are 33 episodes so I'll finish it around the end of June.

So glad to hear you loved More Than We Can Tell. I'm not really a lover of contemporary but I absolutely loved that one too. Brigid is one of my fave authors.

message 268: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments She's definitely becoming one of mine as well!

The Ringmaster's Daughter sounds neat! How is it?

Serial reader app also sounds really cool. That's a good way to get through those harder classics.

message 270: by Elena (last edited May 31, 2020 12:24AM) (new)

Elena Granger | 1788 comments How do you like Circe? I've heard lots of good things about this book.

message 271: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments Oh I loved Circe! It was a bit of a wild ride for me at some point, but it was definitely worth it by the end! It was amazing!

message 272: by Elena (new)

Elena Granger | 1788 comments So I'll better plan it for summer. I haven't yet bought the book though.

message 273: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments It really is good. I am not a fan of Greek mythology because it is very hard for me to keep up with it, I find it complex, but this one was nicely explained and the story was actually meant to teach us what character growth looks like

message 274: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6454 comments Mod
I really liked Circe as well! It was an interesting way to retell Greek myth.

message 275: by Jo (new)

Jo Elliott | 1838 comments Yeah I enjoyed Circe too, my main Greek mythology reads before this were middle grade (mostly Percy Jackson books!) so it was interesting to read a more adult retelling.

message 276: by Elena (new)

Elena Granger | 1788 comments So I believe as a huge fan of Greek mythology, I have to enjoy it even more. Thank you for all the opinions.

message 277: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments Oh, if you love Greek mythology then you'll have no problem reading this!

Ringmaster's Daughter is actually pretty disappoining. Not much circus atmosphere portrayed and the MC is super unlikable. Some interesting side characters but eh.. it's sitting at like 2.75 stars for me as of now (I'm 70%in)

message 279: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments @Elena -definitely you should read it! I'm loving it! And Jo, same for me other than Song of Achilles that I jsut recently did as well!

message 280: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6454 comments Mod
Good to know Heather, I wont bother with it then

message 288: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments Three books done this month: The Gravity of Us by Phil Stamper The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver

Working on a re-read of the Black Witch Chronicles for the new release next week! Also re-visiting Twilight before the new book in August!

message 289: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6454 comments Mod
Nicely done already Heather! How was the Gravity of Us?

message 290: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments It was really good! The romance was maybe a tad quick but otherwise I really enjoyed it. The NASA theme was new and different.

message 291: by Liliana, YA Paranormal Lover (new)

Liliana (lililostinabook) | 2893 comments Mod
I've been thinking about revisiting the Twilight Saga too! I even have it on hold at the library. Lol.

How'd you like The Last Time I Lied? I read it last year and enjoyed it! Not as much as his first book Final Girls, but it wasn't bad.

message 292: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments I liked it, but not quite as much as Lock Every Door by him. Final Girls is on my list too!

Revisiting Twilight all these years later is an experience for sure!

message 293: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments Lock Every Door was truly good! I would like to read more of Sager's books!

Revising Twilight now should be an unique experience for everyone I think :))

message 294: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6454 comments Mod
I like the idea of the NASA theme. Quick as in instalove quick?

Lock Every Door is one I'd like to read at some point.

I just can't do it with the revisiting of Twilight. Too afraid that I will truly hate it and don't want to taint that memory.

message 295: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments Totally get you
I somehow liked Twilight when I first read the series but I think I will totally hate it if I were to re-read it 😂 definitely a unique experience for me 😂

Lock Every Door I do recommend, it's thrilling

message 296: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments @Brittany - not as bad of instalove as many I've read, just not a slow burn either.

I got Sager's new book in the Book of the Month club this month and am so excited for it! But I do agree with Teodora in that Lock Every Door is definitely one I'll recommend to people!

I'm one of those people who Twilight was very meh for me the first time and so far seems to be about the same this time. Though maybe more fun since I'm group re-reading it with some friends.

Liliana (lililostinabook) | 2893 comments Mod
I read Lock Every Door earlier this year and it IS good! I'm also really excited for his new book that's gonna be out pretty soon here!

I was OBSESSED with Twilight back in the day. Reading it now, I know I won't have the same experience and I'll probably be disappointed by it, but I'm just really curious! It's probably been 10 years since I last read it.

message 298: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments I got Sager's new book early thanks to BOTM and am so excited for it!

message 299: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments Finished my The Black Witch (The Black Witch Chronicles, #1) by Laurie Forest re-listen and also finished The Fascinators by Andrew Eliopulos which was one of my most anticipated summer releases and was sorely disappointed unfortunately.

message 300: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6454 comments Mod
Too bad for the disappointment, sadly that happens sometimes.
