Read the book in 2004 and this book was said to be soon a motion picture. Book was aimed at a younger adult audience. The book was a mystery. A young boy walked from his house a few blocks and ended up and this house. There was a girl there but I do remember when he tried to leave the area it was just all foggy.

What genre was it? Horror, supernatural?
it was a mystery, but yes I do remember bow that it was Clive barker. not sure if it was that book. I'm looking now.
