January~February 2020 Carve the Mark/The Fates Divide

Here is where we will Kick off our 2020 Reading Adventure with a discussion of Carve the Mark and The Fates Divide by Veronica Roth.

It will run from January 1st through February 29th.

I enjoyed reading these! I read them fairly quickly because I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I love that each person had a gift, some more unique than others. I also love when "bad guys" turn into "good guys".

I was surprised that I actually finished both in one weekend...
Love it when the flow of the book keeps me that engaged! There were enough twists & little surprises to keep me turning the pages without feeling "bogged-down" in too many directions.

Favorite twist: (view spoiler)[Finding out Cyra & Akos had been switched at birth (hide spoiler)]...somehow it made their particular gifts make more sense to me :)
