Yesterday I read a short story:
by Stephen Graham Jones. It wasn't just the pulp adventure I thought it would be. It was more.
I also recently read The Reddening and enjoyed it. Today, I finished the novella, Into Bones Like Oil by Kaaron Warren. I've reviewed it on here if anyone's interested in weird horror.
Yesterday I finished The Bitterwood Bible and Other Recountings by Angela Slatter. Another 5* from this author, love her interconnected dark magical fairy tales she's woven in this and her previous collection. Now to wait on her coming third collection from Tartarus Press.
Incarnate - a vintage Ramsey Campbell. This may be thirty years old but it still held up well and I would definitely recommend it. Scary and twisted!
Recently finished reading Halloween: The Official Movie Novelization by John Passarella
Loved it!

Just finished Sarah Pinborough's Behind her Eyes over a cold beer, brain is still setting in, not bad. Twists are a big sell of this book and I can see why :)
Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough
"In Behind Her Eyes, Sarah Pinborough has written a novel that takes the modern day love triangle and not only turns it on its head, but completely reinvents it in a way that will leave readers reeling."

Just remembered how much I enjoyed that book, Keene really hit it out of the park with this one.

I'm gonna have to get that Keene book, I guess. ;)
I finished reading John Connolly's [book:A Book of Bones|41131135] and I absolutely loved it. It was the 17th in the Charlie Parker series. Connolly never lets me down!
I also finished listening to The Taint and Other Novellas by Brian Lumley. It was a hell of a lot of Lovecraftian fun. :)
^ You're a reading machine! I really have to start the Charlie Parker series, everyone loves it.
Two Warhammer horror books and a Stephen King one.The Long Walk

Did you like the Warhammer books? I am slowly working my way through the Horus Heresy 40K books and I have a couple of Warhammer collections but haven't really cracked them open yet.
Until Summer Comes Around - the latest from Glenn Rolfe This author keeps getting better and better - full of atmosphere and tension. A different and original take on the vampire story
Catherine wrote: "The Grin of the Dark a classic by Ramsey Campbell. Loved it!"Great novel and one of the few that have left me disturbed for quite a while after reading.
Recently finished reading Mirror, Mirror on the Wall by Stanley Ellin. Really good mystery and dark enough readers who like psychological horror might find it of interest.

And Cannot Come Again: Tales of Childhood, Regret, and Innocence Lost
by Simon BestwickA cornucopia of horrifically good short stories in a new enhanced edition published by Horrific Tales. Simon Bestwick is a vastly underrated author and I cannot recommend his work highly enough Be careful to get this edition though. There is still an earlier one around published by ChiZine which has a different cover, showing a coiled serpent. It contains fewer stories
Over the weekend I started and finished Ghost Bird by Lisa Fuller. I was expecting a crime/mystery but it ended up being super creepy, which just made me love it more.My full review is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Forgot some, I also read Tomb of Gods, and Fright Night that's it for horror, but am about to start Kill Hill Carnage.
