What Have You Read - 2020
I finished You Are Not Alone in a day - it was pretty addictive! It was a different kind of thriller that was hard to predict, which made it a win for me.My full review is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
A Walk Through Hell : The Complete Series. A graphic novel. Pure Garth Ennis. Pure genius. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Loved, loved, loved this book of short stories! Not much in the way of gore or action, but more quiet and invasive horror.

I must agree with that statement.
I finished a couple:
by Tom Deady 3.5* (This was pretty good, but I wanted more.)
by Samantha Kolesnik A beautifully told brutal tale. 4*
Night in the Lonesome October
5 stars. I am not even halfway through Laymon's bibliography, but so far, this is my personal favourite, even better than The Traveling Vampire Show. This story is a weird and bizarre journey through the night.

I thought this book was just okay. I absolutely hated the main character and the (dumb) choices he made, so that soured me on the book.
The Apocalypse Strain, a thrilling horror-action story by Jason Parenthttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I just finished these two books and both of them were really good!
by Iain Rob Wrightand
by Ambrose Ibsen
My third book by Smith. So far, all of the books I have read also had a strong bizarro element to them. I enjoyed this very much.
Slowly We Rot
Surreal, mindfucking and dark and depressing as fuck. Judging by the Bryan Smith books I've read so far, this is probably his masterpiece.

Got done with 'Salem's Lot finally! Can't believe it took me so long to read it! A lot of it felt familiar and I'm not sure if that's because of details in The Dark Tower series or if I've just been picking up references from pop culture subconsciously. Really enjoyed it though! My review is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Forest of Fire (no link available) by Russell James - the latest Grant Coleman adventure.Thoroughly enjoyableA Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay - scary as hell. Great story!
The Reddening by Adam Nevill - folklore horror at its best from one of my favourites
Mirror by Graham Masterton.A solid 3/5. Some of the grisly bits were fun but it took way to long to get going.
And having Boofuls being the kids name! Boofuls! Come on!!
It's worth a read if you like pulpy mediocre horror. It does have a cool picture on the inside cover so it was worth the £1 I paid for it.
This book was crazy and maybe a little silly, but it was exactly what I was in the brainspace for. I gave it 4/5 stars.
I finished listening to The Comeback
by Bernard Taylor. This was a thriller, not Taylor's usual Horror fare, but I enjoyed it just the same. The man knows how to tell a good story!

I thought it was really good, and quite creepy. It's a thriller/mystery but there is a bit of paranormal tossed in as well."
Thanks for the review, I have it on my list.
