For this challenge, you will pick a book that you read last month. Using the first sentence in the book, find another book that is associated with that sentence.

You can read as many books as you like from one of last month's books, or
you can read a book for several of last month's books. (Did that make sense? :)

Examples:
Last month I read The Princess Bride. The first line is: "This is my favorite book in all the world, though I have never read it." - re-read one of your favorite books or read a book you have never read

... Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The first line is: "Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much." - read a book that is the 4th in a series or where the main characters are married

... Moon Called. The first line is: "I didn't realize that he was a werewolf at first." - read a book written in the first person or read a paranormal or urban fantasy story

Duration: January 1 - 31, 2019
Re-reads and audio books are okay.
There are no page limits.

Tari (thann) | 352 comments Ok, going by the examples, I'll jump in. I have others in mind, but I need to get through one first lol.

From the First Line January

A December book I read was Pooches, Pumpkins, and Poison: A Pooch Party Cozy Mystery, and the first line was:
"Most people didn't make a habit of finding dead bodies, but I wasn't most people."

I need to find a first person book or one where the main character finds a dead body.

First person and Poppy has a rep for either finding dead bodies or having them pop up when she's around, which is this case

There's a certain sense of satisfaction in knowing you've completed a challenge and it's only the 4th day of the month :) Way to go, Tari!
