I read the book in high school, about ten years ago (2006-2010). The book was published around the same time as well. I think it had a pink cover, with a girl lying on her bed? There may also have been a silver flip phone on the cover and the cover was illustrated as far as I can recall.

I didn't shelve it, so now I can't recall. The boy and girl are messaging each other and decide to meet at the Space Needle, where the boy will be holding a rose to identify himself. The girl and her best friend see him before he sees them and they leave once they realize who the guy is. I think the girl drives a green Bug or mini cooper.

The girl is high strung and "perfect" with good grades and the boy is more laid back. Once the girl comes clean about seeing the guy at the Space Needle, they are walking down the road and there's something about Chinese Water torture mentioned as a joke.

I borrowed it from my school library so it's a "clean" book.
